| Well I am pretty sure I could get Namao for a day.. They have a 3 mile long runway we can use and its used for autocross all the time.. the biggest issue would be insurance.. Personally I would still say do this at a V8less event.. Mostly because I am lazy and don't want to do the work required to get namao for something like this. |

Fuck, k well i prob wont be able to make it out for drinks, so you guys come up with some set rules, and i'll update the list, lets get quite a few people in on this, but all in the same power band, class, i hope that made sense, so no 11-10 sec cars, and we can have a good event just for ourselves, get all the grudge matches going also, maybe set up grudge matches between the faster cars also, but have them have there own pot, like a one on one, type deal, both drivers agree on a price, then they race for it? |

that would be awsome, if you dont want to help organize it to send me the info, and i'll take care of organizing it, that sounds way better then bud park, we'll have no tree or 1/4 mile times, but we'll get some real racing happening. And some real grudge matches going, then we wont have to say no to people, they can have there own grudge match set-up, it will get rid of all the bench racing we've had going on on 780 for years. It wont be a big event like scc, but it would deffinitly be worth it, i would love to see some fast cars battle it out for a good amount of money.:thumbup: |

| Well you guys have to remember that Namao is not free eh, neather is insurance for timed events. I think it would be cool to see some heads up street racing style racing with guys on the line at the end of the quarter to let us know who won. No clocks just real hard core racing. The only real issues I have are safety related. Plus you guys have to find someone that can get you insurance.. I am willing to help, but realistically I don't want to put my name to the insurance paperwork... |

This sounds like a great idea if all else fails, we need to have more events or pretty soon (next year) there won't be any. We already lost JB's Battle of the Imports, and now we are down to 1 or 2 events and if they get rained out none. |

You pick your own battles, unlike street legals, or other events where you just wait in line and wonder who your gonna race.
We create our own matches, lets find out how much it would cost to rent including insurance and such, we dont need any timers, just the room and the unsurance. Then we should get people to pay whatever it works out to be in the entry to get in, then once your in, pick your own battles, race for cash, whatever. |

Well count me in for both events....as I will take on everyone no matter what ya got.
I will more than likely have azenis on for tires and I commonly strip my cars down to the bone when I rebuild them up every spring, and I like my cars interors striped for the summer anyway so I say poopoo on interors I want it naked :wub:
As for using namao I belive I saw the price at 240 or that could have been greisHbaH's price +insurence.
Heres an Idea, Just for the First time to work out the bugs If theres anything left over from the price of rental that's the winnings, or just make it a $5buck each pot.
That way if only 15 ppl show or it's just semi shitty out we can atleast cover any cost there is overall, and I have a worry about attracting the worng crowed who takes all our money :lol: Hmmm I not even sure what I mean by that.

It might be kinda tough to do at Namao. $250-300 for rental, and at least $300 for insurance. I dont know what ASN insurance policy you would use.... Plus you need WCMA affiliation..
Also, on the straight I dont think speeds are allowed to exceed 60 kmh as it is in use by military vehicles all day.

About the speed...when ppl have auto slaloms there the speeds are over 60kph...I think that if we get almost enough ppl there I will take the rest of the cost personally, as long as its not too too much.:) Now how do we go about getting insurance and whats WCMA and how do we get affiliation? Thanks for the help.

Thats on the D section not the long stright away that would be used for drag racing thats the part you ahve to go slow on. |

Well for autocross yes we need a timer, but i dont see it being near as expensive as the 1/4 mile one that we dont need, as its just gonna be some old fashion one on one, or even have some 3 way racing.:D |

| How about we make it an open event for eveybody (including shop cars) but get rid of the idea of a one winner set-up. We can just make it a grudge match set-up so you line up with whoever you want to race and if theres a side bet then fine, maybe at the end of the day we can have some sort of runoff for some money but I believe that way we can get rid of the idea of limiting ppl b/c of there cars and who built it ect. Whats everyone think of that? |

if they bring their cars out to race other shop cars then I don't see a prob, also maybe someones homebuilt can take on a shop car...never know.
