92 Precidia V6 starting issues? - Click HERE for Original Thread

my 92 precidia V6 keeps stalling. I just had it into a cheap mechanic and he replaced the plugs and wires, fuel pump, oil and filter and air filter. He said he couldnt figure it out.. He wasnt a very good mechanic however just some old brown guy. Anyways the car starts PERFECT even in this weather, and runs perfect.. only after the car warms up, as you come to a stop at say a red light it kinda spudders and the rpm drops and then the car just dies... any suggestions??

Any SES light?
Did the guy replace the fuel filter when he did the fuel pump?

Is your car running rich or anything?

not that i know of.. it seems to run perfectly fine.. then just dies after its warmed up, but it will start right back up.

I'd check the obvious things first. First things I'd look into would be your O2 sensors and your IACV, and see how it goes from there.

the place was Toms Autocare.. and no the fuel filter was unchanged but he said he checked it so im not sure how thats possible lol. he said he checked everything he could think of and none of them fixed the problem.

Fuel filter check. If pressure before = pressure after it is ok. If there is a pressure drop it is bad.

For the amount it time it takes I usually remove the old filter, just try to blow through it with my mouth & see how hard it is to push air through (very precise!)

If it's the style that's mounted on the firewall like I think it is, he probably didn't want to do it, because they sometimes require a Japanese hand trick.

alrite...my question now is how would the car being warm affect the fuel filter because it runs perfect until the cars warmed up.. my old prelude used to stall like this after it got warm and it turned out to be the ignition module.
