| Your best bet would probably be some place like Mopac or Best Buy performance. |

Hi Blam,
I purchased my Micheline from Canadian Tire a few years back. I think I paid around $200.00 for it. You need to look for them but you can find them. I do not remember the exact specs on it however it has been more than sufficient to handle any of the vehicles I have needed to lift.

| I picked up a Motomaster heavy duty one on sale for $99.99, its not low profile though but its very sturdy for the price. It might still be on sale, I bought it last weekend. |

i always needed a 3 inch clearance jack.....
ended up just getting a cheap jack and driver the car up some 2x8 sections of wood. |

This tow truck driver came to lift my Z after it was crashed and he was going on about his kick ass little low profile jack that he'd bought from Crappy Tire like 8 years before. This jack had like 1 3/4" clearance and a curved lifting arm, just awesome. He had actually picked up 3 more of them when CT decided to discontinue them. He ended up paying $30 apiece for each of them on clearance.
I tried to convince him to sell me one, but he wouldn't part with them. He said he was keeping them for when the one he has finally kicks it, although after 8 years it was still doing pretty well. |

| I too purchased the Michelin jack at CDN Tire. They still had them last time I looked... :dunno: |

Low and behold...they still do carry it, and it's currently on sale.

This is the same one I use when I moved out of my parents place - haven't had a problem since.
I was turned off the Michelin's when my neighbour got one. The first he had was low on fluid and wouldn't lift. The second one worked, but wouldn't lift his truck.... |

the michelin ones look about the same height as the one i currently have. my car is 6.5" off the ground, stock.
the jack i ave goes from 4" and climbs to 6.25" where the handle connects. unfortunatly my front jack point is the front crossmember....
can someone do me a big favour and measure their michelin one for me? as well at the Princess auto one.
thanks for the replies. |

| I 2nd the Princess Auto jack. light weight and fits under my lowered civic with ease. the older ones were better, they are silver with zero amounts of the PA yellow and blue |
