| recently my car was park in the cold and usually it starts no problem. But this time the car cranks, power was there but it just wont' spark. We try to push start it, still wont' start. Boost it, still wont' start. I'm startin to think it could be a Fuel Filter problem. Can anyone help. BTW i drive a 93 honda civic with a 95 GSR motor swap.. thx in advance |

1. Check your fuses
2. check to see if fuel pump works even
3. do you have spark? |

Hi mfg,
I suspect that perhaps there may be condensation in your fuel lines. Try to get the car to a warmer location and or dump some fuel line antifreeze in it.
Or perhaps your block is flooded with fuel. Try holding down the accelerator on it while trying to start it. It may take a few min but is should clear your problem.
Another method is if you can, plug your car in. Wait a few hrs then try to start it.
Hope this helps,

Won't SPARK or won't START? There's a difference....
Pull off a plug wire and hold it just enough away from the top of the spark plug so you can see/hear if there is a spark then get someone to crank it over. If you don't see/hear spark, your problem is spark related. If there is spark, check the other 3 cylinders. If thats good, look at fuel problems. |

| well it cranks..and it sparks too but it goes wanna start. i figure something with the fuel like too. But i'll plug it in and give it a try again. hopefully that works. again this never happened before so it's wierd for this to happen out of the blue. |

Three things make a car run, gas, spark and compression(Doubt its that, usually when a car stops out of no where its electrical).
Like the one guy said, check to see if there is spark.
Turn it over a bunch of times and see if you smell any gas out of the tail pipe. It should reek :dunno: |

Grab a spray bottle and put a little gas in it. Crank the car over and spray the fuel into the throttle body. If it fires, you have fuel issues. If not, well then you might have some timing issues if it's just not starting because the car is so cold.
If the engine and fuel are really cold there is the possibility that the fuel just isn't atomizing to the point that the spark can ignite it. Your best bet is to get some heat into the engine and keep trying. |
