| I havent looked this up but is the new Vw GTI just a Golf or is it a totally new style of car? Thanks. |

New GTI is pretty much just a Golf like the old GTI.
Some minor body differences...uglier in my opinion...
It also comes with a 2.0L Turbo engine
I am told the Non-turbo engine should be available for it shortly. |

3300lb FATTY!
It's funny, but Suzuki built the best GTi's, not VW. |

VW is building a buncha Chrysler ehicles.. like Dodge will keep making the Grand Caravan, but teh caravan will by built by vw.
Also the diesel engine option for the caliber will be a VW engine. |

Other way around. Chrysler is building a minivan for VW. VW will make some changes to the exterior styling and the interior will be all VW, but Chrysler will build it, not VW. |

Ohh ok, I was told Chrysler gave VW the plans for the caravan, then VW was gonna build it for themselves cause they don't have a van right now.
Anyhow.. it looks like VW and Chrysler are doing the same thing chrysler and Mistu where doing in the 70/80's |

What happened to the Transporter?
I can't describe how much of a bad idea it is to replace the Transporter with a Caravan! |

VW has lost it's direction (for who knows how long).
They invented the minivan, but couldn't follow through (like Chrysler). They used to own the 'hot hatch' market, but they keep making fatties.
The only good thing they have left is TDI. |

| Vw is supposed to be cuttin 2/3 of their production and switching it over to deisel production. My mom has a 2006 Jetta tdi and I love it. It also gets great milage and doesnt sacrifice power like all those hybrid cars. |

In europe their diesel percentage is well above that already, like all manufacturers (Besides supercars and motocycles) |

They've become the German GM. Too big for their own good. They aim for the middle to get as many drivers wanted as possible with one shot. Not too slouchy, not too sporty, and not too reliable somewhere along the line.
I miss my VW. The car, and the company. |
