You probably could have sold it for a little more if you were selling it in the spring.

Actually people don't want modded sti's anymore. They want to do it themselves. Besides if its been modded then 9 out of 10 times it has been abused. The value of STi's isn't really there. When I was selling my STi there was a guy down south that had a blue 04 with intake and exhaust with only 1500 km on it and he wanted $42000 and no body wanted it. Its a tough market out there. I would personally go and buy a new one because the interest rate is lower than a used one especially for $42000.
Sure I could of waited until spring to sell my car and get more money for it but in the mean time more km's are being accumulated and on top of that the car payments won't really offset me waiting 4 months to get an extra $2000 for it (my monthly payments were $900/month).

It may be worth looking for one in the US. If I was to buy new again that would be my plan.
FWIW. I just hit 42,000km's
Rad: I hear ya, I myself probably wouldn't buy a modded STi (or any vehicle) unless I personally knew the car and the owner. I would want to be sure things were done right mod wise and that the vehicle had been maintained properly.
