| Hey guys i'm new on ths board. I am actually from the vancouverpreludeclub.com. Just thought i check out how edmontons forums are like. I currently drive a Pearl White 99 Prelude Type SH which i am slowly converting into a Type S. I'm pretty much going all JDM on my car. I'll post some pics up soon. |

YES LMAO 5000 for a gain of 20 hp.. hes just trying to go for the JDM look. and 5000 for the engine isnt worth it when all he has to do to gain the same power is VAFC intake exhaust and the red valve cover lol the Type S is a strong engine to have stock but thats about it. |

5000k? i'd say that estimate is a little much for a motor :lol:
for that price i'd be expected to get a full euror swap. tranny w/lsd, intake manifold, and as a bonus red valve cover too. i dobut that would run 5k either. |

laugh all you want ive been driving ludes for about 4 combined years all together ive been around the block in terms of searching for the possibilities...heres some proof...keep in mind...US dollars. lets not mix up JDM h22 with JDM Type S cuz they are 2 different engines. tack on shipping, installation, your talking well over 5000 CAD. if someone tells you they can get you a JDM type S motor for 1800 US, your getting a JDM h22A with a red valve cover lol the type S engine is one of the most expensive honda engines next to the S2000 engine.

| of course deals can be found tho =D but all together, its just not worth it because if you want to modify, you have to take out most of the parts that make a type s engine a type s engine so you might as well have just got the regular h22 for 3000 less and youd have more money for modification hah. however if you want a stock monster, something that may rival the ITR id get it. |

euro-r's are blue valve covers....
JDM Type-S motors are rare and expensive, but its the SiR you're after. Type-S motors run with the ATTS and the SiR's run with the M2B4 (LSD) tranny....
IMO if your getting a steal of a deal for a JDM SiR motor and tranny, I'd swap it in...if not, I'd rather build the stock one up. 5g's + stock motor can yeild incredible results.... |

| Welcome to the board! As for shows down here, our better ones are SCN and DTP. Im not sure if dates are up for DTP yet, but for Sport Compact Nights, it is may 6th i believe. That show is in Calgary, but its the best show you'll find around here. its only about 2 -3 hours away. and then Driven to Perform is in edmonton july 8. and in calgary june 10.
