| Um, if this was true I should have been getting laid every day last summer.. I am running a Greddy Evo2 on my car.. with a test pipe in front of it. I have friends tell me they can hear me from more they 8 blocks away.. On a warm summer night. I cam pretty sure Billy can vouch for me that my car has to be one of the loudest on this forum. |

| Ha no.. I have had several people tell me my car kinds sounds like a subaru.. I take that as a compliment as I feel they have a really agressive sound for a 4 banger. I admit that my car is a little raspy up top (past 7000rpm) but thats commen for pretty much all hondas running a system without a cat. |

| Not all V8s sound good.. Personally I find, especially after they have a heavy duty cam.. There is no reason for cars to be the loud.. People bitch about loud imports.. Well there are a couple V8s around here that run straight pipe style exhausts and I can hear them Kms away.. That is retarded. But its unlikley they will get exhaust tickets do to pipe size. |

Thats true, I've never seen any posts on here or Wolfpack of V8's getting tickets for that tip size law. There's diesels with 6" tips running around, the law won't bother them either. I'm glad though, I've got dual 4" tips on my DD to make it sound deeper and I've never got any trouble.
I disagree about the cams.. it makes a stock V8 sound way better. Especially on the Gen IV GM's and the Hemi series DCX's its music to my ears. I have a video of a cammed LS2 GTO with Magnaflow exhaust that gives me a bit of a chubby everytime I watch it :thumbup: |

I have yet to see a V8 that sounds as clean as a b16a2 or b18c5.. I am pretty sure that it will never happen with a pushrod just because of the fact there are so many moving parts.

and unless we're constantly hitting VTEC - Honda's don't sound remotely as good as a mild V8.
it's really black and white here with honda's - they either don't make a sound (except H22's and K20's) or sound like absolute (when piped) crap.
we have the idling and low rev sound effect of a hamster ball on vinyl. |
