Ammo

Altezza
That must be a bit embarrasing hey the joke of the town. :D

MX5 Miata Guy
Joke or not, Tim Horton's policy is free coffee for any member of a police, fire, or paramedic force when they come in wearing their uniform (ie: on duty)...across Canada. I have to commend Timmy's for doing so.

That's funny, cause when I was on duty the EMS and RCMP all paid for thier own food and drinks.

180sxforthewin
Maybe they should spend less time catching a guy who superimposed a sticker on a car or suckin back coffee in Tims and more time catching the jackass that stole my cd player and smashed my window.

Tony_TSi
It looks like a fake article.

For one, just check out the multiple grammar errors in the little caption below the pic. I counted at least 3.

Im not sure what kind of newspaper would allow such grammar to get pass the editor or whoever is in charge of checking spelling and stuff.

MightyMidget
holy hell....welcome to 5 years ago!!!

tegGSR
ya like "on an RCMP vehicles" hahah

ChromeDragon
Grammar errors slip through on occasion, especially in caplines since it's usually page artists typing them and they don't always proof for corrections when making changes.

Tony_TSi
yeah, but theres a bunch of errors; one every line.

Must be one hella shitty newspaper :p

180sxforthewin
I wonder if anyone has every been able to rob a Tim hortons theres always cops in every one. They are more secure than a bank.

You live in E-town? No Mounties there...

Suckin' back coffee? Cops aren't entitled to eat at work?

Do you ever post anything worth reading, or is it all the same anti-cop, the-world-owes-me BS?

Okay...so now you've had a parking ticket in Calgary from one of their Bylaw officers because you can't read, a speeding ticket in Calgary from the Calgary Police Service because you can't stay within the speed limit on your GDL, and you've got it in for the RCMP in Prince George because they can't find your CD player in Calgary?

I take it back in my other thread...who the fuck cares about Calgary?!?

Beat me to it. I was thinking someone needs to hire an editor at that paper.

MX5 Miata Guy
Having looked closely at seven RCMP cruisers yesterday (for some reason there was a mass exodus from Sherwood Park heading out on Baseline Road when I was leaving), the flag's fake too, as the real one is a small flag, not a long pennant.

So...we've got a fake flag and the combination of two grammatical errors and one missing word in the text. Leads more to the fake end of things to me...

dc2696
fake or not who cares, its funny:p

If I cannot read the explain how I am repling to your ignorant post. You dont need to be a Jackass about it. The speeding ticket was from a mountie because I was on the way home from Banff. And yes I have it in for cops everywhere because they dont do a damn thing but speeding tickets and drug busts. And also speeding on your gdl or not your still speeding I will take it to court and try to have them get rid of the demerits. I dont really care about the ticket I just care about the demerits.
And I believe that there are over a million people and rising who care about Calgary so.................
Also to whoever 95eagle I posted this for my personal benifit and if you think that its not worth reading then dont read it.

180sxforthewin holds a grievance against police everywhere because they couldnt recover his CD-player!

Obviously the cops are no good..as seen by their inability to recover cd-players

Besides, cops should NOT hand you speeding tickets, even if you ARE speeding. By them doing that, it just highlights their incompetence :fingersx:

180sxforthewin
I am 17

X_O
bawawawwawaahhhh RCMP got :owned:

So pulling people over for speeding and arresting people for growing/using illegal narcotics is a bad thing?

What fucking world to you live in?

You have it in for cops "everywhere"? What about the detectives that spent 12 years on a case to get a murderer behind bars for killing Punky Gustaveson? The investigators that lock people up for killing and raping defenseless people? The cops that recover stolen vehicles every day?

I thought the picture was funny. It is. Your attitude towards the Police will pretty much assure you will simply get in more trouble with them later.

dc2696
The cops didn't find ur cd player so ur mad!? BAHAHAHAHAH thats awesome. Hopefully your never taken into custody for something(wrongfully) and strip searched then cavity searched then have to sit in jail cuffed for 6hrs.....if you did that I might see ur point but prolly not.

180sxforthewin
Eagle tool

You didnt understand what I said.
I said that is ALL they do. There is more to the job descriptioin than that. Go onto a police website and take the practice exam to be a cop. If there were no limitations I think that 12 year olds everywhere could be cops if they wanted. As for my atitude about police, wtf would I be in trouble with them later because i dont like them. I dont like alot of people but does that mean I will get in trouble with them. No
Look clown
I reply to this thread to get in a debate about i was just stating my peace about it which to my knowledge is legal in Canada so I will continue to do so. That is the way I feel about it so no reason to be an :asshole:.

180sxforthewin
*I didnt reply to this to get in a debate.

Yeah really commendable when they sit in there for hours on end.. i used to work near a timmies, and they would go in . .sit there for hours and then possibly leave once in a while with the lights and sirens on. honestly one day the same 6 cruisers were theyre for 3 hours of my shift.

:( sad part is that you will find similar behaviors in ANY profession....... (Doctors, Teachers, Law Enforcement, Timmy's employees etc.....)

Yes but they arent required to care for so many people. Teachers dont leave class in the middle of a lesson to drink coffee. Doctors dont just stop in the middle of a heart surgery to have coffee either. There is a difference.

youngbex
funny but disrespectfull

BigTrucker
The police that are out there mainly all care for the city and the people but their are a few that are just their for the perks and the paycheque. So when you see a cop at Timmys for a couple hours on end, maybe he is just one of the assholes, its probably the same guy that always pulls you over for a tint or exhaust ticket.

I have a uncle who recently retired from the police. I've been on numerous ride-alongs with him in his last couple of years and most of the time we were always busy on calls and dealing with all the shit that goes on. On those nights we didnt stop for lunch breaks or anything, he just worked a straight 10 hour shift non stop. Other times there was absolutely nothing going on and all we could do to stay awake was hang out at Timmys until a call came in. So when you want to bitch about the police and all the shit they cause you, think about all the shit they keep from happening to you. If they didnt give speeding tickets and enforce the rules of the road what would stop some guy from blowing by you at 140km/h and side swiping you then taking off? Or some guy blowing through a school zone and taking out your kid in a crosswalk? Not a lot of people do that because they know the police are out there and will whoop your ass if you do.

Just my .02

180sxforthewin
Chances are that if someone side swipes you at 140 i dont think that they will be driving away. At least not in the car they hit you with. Perhaps an ambulance.

BigTrucker
you get my point, cops are a pain the ass sometimes but without them we would have drivers like those over in Iraq and it all would go to hell

Well I was tailing a lady the other week..... she appeared drunk, but it might have been that she just didn't have her glasses on.. she clipped the ass end of a semi doing 110-130(she was doing 130, then had about 1 second of braking before she hit).. he was right in front over her doing sub 30km/h(he was turning left off the highway) she swirved last second... clipped the semi and her car was still good to go, just skinned the drivers side... the ditch and the approach is what screwed her... had it been a field she prolly woulda kept going.. cept for me and the RCMP that was on my ass.

And cops don't stop in the middle of a traffic stop to grab a coffee either. They do so in their downtime, just like doctors and teachers.
