| Its new... the guy ran from the scene.. maybe he was thinking that he would be hard to track down.. considering there are so many Enzos just lying around. |

lol.. not really.. he didn't run, just jumped in the passenger seat and claimed the real driver took off.
I'd actually rephrase the subject as "CEO gets pwned by own driving sk1llz." |

He lived because he was drunk. Have you ever heard of a drunk driver getting in a accident and killing himself? I think not. They end up killing everyone else.

| i read there that he had TWO Enzo's! one black and one red. Ferrari was really picky about the Enzo's drivers, dont know how got a hold of two. |

That is true but i know of many drunks that have died from acidents. I think the reason he survived was the fact he was going so fast and by the time he realized what was up the first impact had already happend. And if you look the driver said is relatively intact. Unlike the other ones where you cant even make out which is which.
Yes drunk drivers live more then likely cause they are calm and so forth. Either way i stand by my statement that every drunk driver should get 1 swift kick to the nuts from anyone who has ever lost a family member to a drunk driver.. |

i wonder then, if you sold your enzo to somebody who didnt make the list, would Ferrari ban u from ever buying one of their select cars from them. |

If I was the Ferrari Automobile Company, I would black list any owners that wrecked any Ferrari in there possession out side of a race track even if the car was loaned out to a friend or stolen.
That would Just increase the exclusivity of the car and help to keep them around as long as posable...Sort of enforced immortality.
Cheers and that's my 2 cents/psi :stickpoke

There was an update to this accident in the Journal today:
quote: Swede arrested after crash of rare Ferrari in U.S.
LOS ANGELES - A Swedish video game entrepreneur under investigation in the crash of an exotic Ferrari worth $1 million US in Malibu has been arrested on suspicion of grand theft, say police.
Stefan Eriksson, 44, was arrested at his Bel-Air home Saturday after a search. Detectives concluded the wrecked Enzo Ferrari, along with a Mercedes and another Enzo Ferrari in Eriksson's collection, were owned by British financial institutions. Eriksson apparently brought the cars to Los Angeles when he moved here from Britain last year. But financial institutions that held titles to the vehicles said payments had lapsed.
Eriksson was being held without bail.

Why the hell would ferrari care if you crashed an enzo. If I was ferrari I would be like "heres another, we'll just take another million out of your account" Shit crash 12 if you want, if he pays what do they care. As for who can but them, I had heard that you had to keep it for atleast a year before you could sell it. This was back when you could still buy them new. |

| My point was that if you black list all the noob's that crass em soon only a select few would be able to buy em and the price will rise even more. Why settle for 1 mill a car when you can work up the price to 2 mill just because of the black list.....just me trying to make a buck.. ;) |

Ya I got it but I just didn't want to put in "Honda" like all the others would.
It just seemed like a good point. |

But really it is pretty sad if you need to borrow money for a car like that. By the time you are ready for a car like that you should have the money in the bank to back it up.
I know someone that spends over 200g a year on 2 new cars and never borrows a penny. Granted since he sells the old cars, he is really only spending about 50 grand a year on cars. And he is far from rich, just smart with money. |

You don't think Ferrari cares?
They made around 1,200 F40s.
They said, no, there's too many of them on the road, it's not exclusive enough, so we're only making 399 F50s. They could have sold tons more. Same with the 399 Enzos. They could have sold 1000, easily.
I bet they sit there and shake their heads. |
