Aparently they don't know this is a functional TRD supplied ram-air.

Uh, do we even want to know how or why you got all this 'practice'?

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or what, but :D

1) It's a Tom's scoop, not TRD and
2) No, it's not functional

I think its just because Toyotas are rice. Especially Corolla's.

Seriously? D'oh! I've seen those scoops a few times, and they always seem to be accompanied by a TRD sticker. If Tom's is a performance company, why would they sell (and build an entire model equiped with it) a non functional scoop?

Can't really explain why you usually see TRD stickers with those scoops, but......

Tom's does make perfromance parts, but they also make a full bodykit for the SW20. It's actually quite nice ;) except for that hideous scoop.

The side vents on SW20's actaully perform the task of routing more air into the intake and the side mount intercooler on the other side, the way Toyota engineered them. Those scoops you see on some MR2's are actually counter productive and mainly for show.

ehos
To make Toms scoops 'work' you would have to close off the factory side scoops.

stealth
The TOM's side scoop was actually built for the JDM 3-SGE MR2. It provided air to the intake.
