This is more for a weekend mechanic. Somebody that might be looking for thier kids first car or something like that. Anyways just have a look and see if it's something for you.I have a 1995 Sunfire GT 2.3L with the 4 speed auto in it. This is some info on the car. The car has 187, 000km on it. My mechanic is not 100% sure but it's between needing a new head gasket or a new cylinder head. He thinks the head cracked and when it heats up the exhaust gas gets into the cooling system and the system air locks. This causes the car to over heat. I have put a lot of work into the car and this was the last straw. I now have a new truck so I have no plans on fixing this car. New Price: $1800 *Please No flaming on this thread* Power windows Power door locks Power mirrors Air/tilt/cruise Has ETS on the shifter Front winter tires are brand new (maybe 5000 km on them) Rear winter tires could be changed New fuel pump ( within the last three months I can find the recipt for you, this was good for a grand at the dealership) New battery ( Last summer from Northgate pontiac on the north side) New alternator (also last summer) New drive belt ( also last summer) New tranny cooling lines (done last month) New thermostat New water pump New Timing chain New Timing chain guide New timing chain tensioner New front disc brakes (Rotors and pads, these are the cross drilled and slotted ones) Stainless steel brake lines on the front ( have the rear set also but didn't install yet) All new drum brakes( new drums, shoes and springs) K&N air filter ( yes I know this one is a biggy) Spark plugs (done last summer) Oil changes done every 5000 km New headlight bulbs (within the last 6 months) I also made custom fiberglass door pod for a set of 6.5 component speakers. The rear part of the interior is out of the car as I was going to fiberglass the rear but never did. I will be putting this back in and it will be back to stock. I also have a fiberglass enclosure for a 12" sub that I have 95% finished that will Fit perfect in the corner of the trunk, as I molded it to the trunk when I made it. I'm asking $1800.00 for the car, I feel this is a steal if you are going to do the work your self. Once the engine is running right this car runs great and is quick for a 4 banger. There is a Alpine cd player in it which will go with the car. I don't want the engine and also he has not gotten back to me. I haven't looked into how much an engine would be for this car. I don't know how mechanical you are but you might be able to do the repairs yourself and not have to buy a whole engine. For me to get them done was more then I wanted to pay as I had already put alot of money into the car in a samll amount of time. There are many basicaly new or new parts on this car which I listed above. PM me your offer and I will let you know. apart from this engine thing the car is in really good shape, it's got a couple of dents but I can take pictures if you really want to see them.
