I was thinking about that, cause the Whitemud says 80, but almost everyone does 100. The thing is built for freeway speeds. |

until you hit the quenel bottle kneck.......on both sides you have merging traffic and reduction of what should be 3 lanes to 2.
you will be lucky to go 30 in rush hour.
how about doing it on hwy #2 |

Yea but they are fixing that soon...although that means pain and headache for the next project for 6-8 years as the whitemud at terwilliger is downsized to 1 lane during an interchange construction...its all worth it in the end right? no
We need to come up with better and faster construction methods for our infrastructure. |

I've had to drive below 80km/h down Whitemud in the afternoon before because I had a heavy load of loose stuff, very very interesting. |

Sounds like the time I drove down whyte ave one Monday morning at 8:30am.. I had no brakes... well I did but my front pads where gone and my rotors where grinding away...
so i had my mom infront of me in her beater, and we where going sub 30km/h speeds all the way from 112st to 75st.... I had my hazzard lights on, and was using my e-brake to stop, then had my mom as an emergency brake. From 109 to 99 wasn't an issue, never got above 25 anyhow due to traffic...
Or the time I was driving downteh highway at 70km/h cause my engine was acting up - bad fuel and it was running too lean, and going faster made it run leaner. So when ppl caught up to me, well when they where getting close I'd hit the flashers and pull over so they could pass, and if a group of vehicles/semis where catching up, I actually pulled off the road.
but umm yeah.. what was the point again... I dunno.. I'm bored at work... |

| I can honestly say I have passed people on the shoulder before because they were doing stuff like that. I never took a mirror off on a parked car though. The research done for speed limits was done a long time ago. Cars have come a lot way and I am sure you can keep the same levels of safety that the rules were made for at a much higher speed now a days. |

mmm, i beg to differ. cars have gotten safer but the people driving them have dumbed-down to make up the difference. it's probably less safe now just because of that.
i think that there should be seperate roads for those of us who CAN drive, and the other 95% of the drivers should use the shitty roads. |
