z31 question - Click HERE for Original Thread

I dont know how many z31 guys browse this board.

But I had a question for you guys, I have an 85 300 na, I'm doing my suspension right now.
Eventually do my sub frame bushings, bigger sway bars, throw in an lsd... Kind of setting it up for drifting.

Question is, do you think I would have room to put on wheel spacers and widen the wheel base a bit? To me, it looks like I would be able to put 3/4" spacers on safely, maybe even larger but I dont want to push my luck.

I was just wondering if anybody knew for sure that there was room to do so.

Thanks for any info. Peace guys.

Hello,

The 3/4's will be tight but it should fit. Life would be easier if you were doing it with a 86,87, or 88 model Z.

I hear wheel spacers from a Ford Mustang work. PM me maybe I can get the Mopac part number for you.If you are going to drift the car you have to buy real high quality spacers, unfortunatley most of them are only for street use.

I wish you the best of luck, I loved my 86 turbo when I owned it.

Cheers,
Grace Too

Hey thanks man!

I didn't even acknowledge a difference between types of spacers besides the ones you just put inbetween you hub and wheel like a shim.
And the kind that you bolt to your hub, then your wheel too the spacer.
I finished my rear suspension tonight, and I am going to have to fix the camber eventually. As it sits I probably have alot of room because of it hah.
