Just wondering if you ever see any familia gtx's or gtr's go through auction? If so what do they range in price whise? And why hasnt there bin any brought in?

mx73someday
Yes they are occasionally at auction. Most can be imported for $4000-5000 to Vancouver. No one has imported one yet because I think people have a hard time justifying that price, although it is near the least expensive you can import a car from Japan with us.

justifying the price? the familia gtr is a 210hp/210 torque awd that is the same weight as the pulser gti-r. They have a more relyable tranny also with lots of room for upgrades. Are we talking the same car?

If so i am definatly interested in bringing one in

I'm not too familar with the Famila, but didn't the GT-R version come out in 1993. Also the GT-X version didn't have 220hp until 1993 which weighed the same as the GTi-R. Again I'm not too up on the Famila so if I'm wrong sorry.

gtx only came with 180hp and a much smaller vj20 turbo. I have that engine in my escort gt. I would like the gtr because it is way better out of the box. The stock vj23 turbo on the gtr is efficent to 25psi and the stock internals are able to handle 400hp. GTR was first produced in april 1992. You are correct the pulsar gti-r and familia gtr are the same weight. The gtx was produced from 1990-1994. So heres a better question. Appx how much to get a non accident grade 3.5 or higher familia gtr to vancouver once its legal?

Thanks

Ok, I was looking at 1991's and earlier.

At these prices, they would be between $5800-9500 for grade 3.5 or higher, that is fully imported to Vancouver.
