I seriously would like to know who gets to decide the traffic laws?
Not all traffic laws are the same for every province and last time i checked Canada was a democratic country. Why dont the people of edmonton or alberta ever get a say in them? :dunno: |

| well i have had a fair number of tickets in the last 3 years lol about$4000 worth and most have been thrown out cuz they are so ridiculous lol. I just hate how you can get ticketed for adding mods to your car. whther you have a stock bumber or an aftermarket one its still just a piece of plastic. Just cuz you have neon glowing from under your car doesnt mean anything either. One ticket i got awhile back was for having blue leds for my alarm in my sideview mirrors. the cop saw them flashing and gave me a 150 buck ticket. he accused me of being i a gang and tht was my gang sign lmao |

99% of cops don't know what the law is
it's 100% legal to put a 7inch tip on exhaust
it's illegal to take a muffler and cut holes in it and make the outlet of the muffler larger
but putting a muffer with a larger outlet than stock is 100% legal
cops don't know this

WHy is everyone hell bent on talking about these "lights" i dont have lights on my car for one thing and i am into tuning cars as u call it. but technically tuning a car is illegal as well. i have and i have seen many people get tickets for mods and i asked the cops y dont the shops get shut down for doing it...the answer i get is its not illegal to actually do the mods its illegal to drive the modded car.

cops inproperley use the law, like exhuast tickets, aftermarket exhausts are 100% legal, no law says it has to be stock
no law says u gotta keep the same motor
look at the muscle car guys with like huge motors in cars that orginaly came with like v6's
or like all the V8 s10's around, 100% legal
in alberta cops can't give u a ticket for anything like that

not sure who he bought it off of actually redline imports in st albert i believe.
That shouldnt cost to much to fix. Skylines are coming into canada decently enough priced that parts should be easy enough to acquire. I know a few body shops that might be able to help out. |

the one stolen off the side of the whitemud was from redlineimports.ca
and jason and chris(brothers) are the owners and the only 2 ppl in the company and both live together on the south side
insurance company will probaly just be writing it off
and theres only a couple places i would trust with my car

By the way if you never got an answer to your glass code question AS1 is the standard safety glass for your windshield. It must be AS1 not AS2 or AS3 it has to do with the thickness of the vinyl between the glass and as for side windows and back windows they must typically be AS3 or tempered glass which is 10 times stronger then laminated safety glass or AS1 but shatters into a billion pieces when busted. |

Well if you look on the windshield somewhere they should have a stamp with the manufacturers name and type of glass. I know when i did glass work we got a shitload of windshields from japan and they were all proper but def check it out.
the stamp will be on the outside of the windshield across the bottom somewhere about the size of a qaurter. |

I'm a "follow the rules" kind of guy because a) it keeps me out of trouble; b) I hate paying tickets and c) I'm applying for EPS in the summer. If you complain but are willing to do nothing to change it, then don't bother complaining. Write your government, at least try. Otherwise, like I said, deal with it.
Mods to my Talon....
Yes: intake, exhaust, turbo, I/C, clutch, flywheel, brakes, wheels, tires... the only "cosmetic" mod I have is a '99 Eclipse front end after my Talon bumper met it's untimely demise against a log on a backroad. And I have clear corner lenses, becuase they were 8 bucks and look nicer than orange. Click on the link in my sig if you wanna buy it... ;) |

The blue LED's in your mirrors could be argued as a distraction too. Heres a thought dont put shit on your car that is against the law and you wont run up a small fortune in tickets or waste hours of your life in court.
