If you are to be your own boss.... why need apply?
It's more like having a sub shop and wanting to be apart of the Mr Sub franchise.
And frankly I'm insulted by the term Nerd. It's Geek alright.
nerd = Book worm
Geek = Computer Freak.
We are the computer hackers of old.
And sorry the IT world is mainly Crappy hours... you get a call late at night, saying "Help my server just died" you gotta suit up and go out, or they go elsewhere.
Sorry for the rant in this thread.
I work in the IT department for a world wide Universty, and I do my own computer Biz on the side, and it is my my choice that it stays small. |

Oh and may I ask, wtf is with the beetles?
Geek squad uses them, you guys use them... I'm pretty sure there's a couple more computer companies that use them.. |

Nerds On Site started using the beetles in 1997 when they came out. They were the first company to do so.
Anyways besides the arguing in this thread it was meant to let people know of the oppurtunity. Please if your not interested do not hijack this thread.
Also reason for applying is because that not everyone can work under this name.
Why use a name that exists in 7 worldwide countries?? When people look for people to repair there computers who are they most likely to call, Bob's Computer Repair, or someone more reputable like Nerds On Site or Geek Squad?
Thanks, and please do not hijack this. |

Most people in the industry do not understand the inner workings of a large computer organization. Once you are of a certain size, you need people located across the country (Or worldwide) to do work for clients that have other offices.
This is what a place like the "Nerds On Site" can provide. When you join up, you are joining a network that allows you to get additional contacts. If a company is satisfied with the work that their Nerds On Site tech did in Brandon, Manitoba will they hesitate to use Nerds On Site for their Edmonton work? Of course not.
Networks such as this are used to supplement your existing business, and bring forth new business. |
