Saw the film and loved it. I like how you can parrallel the right wing extremism to today, the past (WWII), and even the 80's when it was written (Thatcher to an extent). Action was superb and always within reason; essentially what I mean by this is that when it goes into slo-mo and such it isnt at all cheezy (ala certain portions of the Matrix). Its a very smart film and I went out and bought the graphic novel to read tonight aswell.

4/5.

Was planning to see it tonight but not so sure I wanna be out there in this weather

CanuckDave
cool, it looks excellent, so provided I can get enough traction to make it to a theatre, I intend to go see it tonight.

Excellent movie  definitely worth watching

I've seen threads about this movie popping up on some of the other boards and the wingnuts down in the US are not happy. They're taking the movie as a sort of attack against their beliefs.

Makes me wanna watch the movie even more then :D

Hi Orzel_pl,

I agree with your review. I just got out from watching the movie. There was alot of information to disect in the 2.5hrs I was in the theater. I think in order to fully comprehend and catch all the small subtle clues, I may need to watch it at least one more time.

I must admit the mask was somewhat un nerving. It made him look like someone whom had plastic surgery gone bad.

Overall I would rate it 9/10. I feel it was well worth my money.

Thanks for reading,

Mike Nikolai

I just saw it. Great movie with some nice social commentary. Definitely would recommend it.

I saw it yesterday. Awesome movie! I would definetely recommend it!

Very good movie. The paralellisms between this movie and the current state of the world is a little unnerving though. Kind of a new 1984.

Buddyworm
It was an excellent movie. Great action and I really like the way it draws parallels with today. Especially obvious jabs at todays leaders. Like "we are standing at the edge of oblivion," a la Tony Blair. But my favorite was the poster with the American, English and Nazi flags and the words "Coalation of the Willing".

I liked the mask. It definately makes it so that V isn't so much of a character. I also though that the mask managed the illusion of conveying his changing moods and emotions quite well.

Oh, who else didn't know that it was Hugo Weaving playing V?

B-Wurm :D

It was different.. had good vocabulary... showed that you really can't trust your government. But i mean.. the ending was pretty hurting.. i'm glad i didn't pay to see it. 7/10
