Rim shopping, where's a good local place? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Where is a good place to shop for rims around town?

In town, all that places seem to stock are FWD wheels. I'd look on the net and find wheel that are staggered, your bolt pattern and the offset and width you want.

staggered??why? But I agree with shopping on the net for them.

Look at the classifieds on tt.net, there are usually some good stuff on there. I found my Volks on that site for a great price.
Most of them will be correct offset as well.

just curious, what is the correct after market offset for the Z32 TT? I want 18inch rims, I was thinking 18x8.5 in the front and 18x9.5...would that work?

I believe the offsets somewhat vary based on wheel design, I think mine are 37 front 42 rear.
8.5F 9.5R will work just fine for width.
Do you have any specific wheels in mind?

I got my rims/tires from bigwheelz for a pretty decent price and Harry was pretty good to work with. Both of those places are in Calgary and are almost exactly the same in price, but differ a little in selection. Best places around I've found so far.

Thanks for sites!!! I found some on the first web site that I liked but they are like $130 a rim, that worries me why they are so cheap.

This is the Volk rim I want...aanyone know of any rims that look like this? and are a little cheaper but are still of good quality?...or anyone know where to get volk rims for a good price?

Volks = $$$

You do get what you pay for, and Volks are awesome rims. Light and strong. Badass lookin' rim, there's some serious lip on that thing!

5zigen or Work maybe?

Also, if you call or e-mail cms, they can get almost any rim you want at a pretty decent price, I do remember them telling me they can get Volks and a couple other forged rims.
