millwoods honda - Click HERE for Original Thread

So i go in there on thursday Mar.23rd to get my cam seals, lower tube seals, valve cover, and grommets all changed out.
I thought they did a good job until i pull one of the spark plug wires out and there's a little bit of oil on one of them. so i pull another one out and drips of oil again. i call them up and they told me to bring it in and they will take a look at it. when i get there, they pull the plug and find very few drops of oil on it ( burned all up while i was driving there from londonderry to millwoods)
they said it is only a bit of left over oil that was in there before and it will burn off.
so i said ok and asked if they had time for an oil change, he tells me to go ask the guy at the oil change desk.
and this is where i got pissed off.
i go up and ask the old man, how long will it take to get an oil change? and his response, " it'll get done when its done"
without even looking me. " i got 6-7 cars ahead of you"
the tone of voice and chioce of words, not very professional at all.

so i leave and head up to alberta honda to get my oil changed. after my oil change, i get home and park the car for about 2 hours an moved it, i noticed a little puddle of oil under my car. so i call them back at 2:30 in the afternoon ( they close at 3 )
i thought the didnt tighten up the drain plug or something.
so they tell me to bring it back in and they'll look at it.
i get there and everything seems to be ok with the oil change, what they find is that cam seal is leaking really bad ( the one i got changed on thursday )
they topped up the oil for me and told me not to drive it till it gets fixed cause the timing belt was soaked in oil.
they did all this for me right before they closed. awsome and very professional service from alberta honda.

only good thing from millwoods honda right now is that they took my car and gave me a loaner.

sorry for such a long post, just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

will keep you guys updated on the situation when i get my car back on monday.

Millwoods Honda has pissed me off on more than one occasion. And the old guy at the oil change counter if a total tool. I took my wifes CRV in and about 2 hrs later I'm like hey where is my car? He said something smart assed about taking it to reddeer and I totaly flip out infront of a bunch of customers. Fuckhead

Freak out at them:mad:

Very nicely detailed feedback.

Good luck with it all

Back when I was a Honda owner, Alberta Honda was my dealership of choice in the city here.

I don't know about the climate today but I remember about 8-9 years ago Millwoods Honda was guilty of throwing extra stuff into their service packages that they'd want you to pay for that were not in the owners manual. For example, they'd want to do a compression test at ~48,000 km on a Prelude SR-V. WTF?

(Honda West in Calgary was doing that too, IIRC). I was wise to it and never took a vehicle there.

I live in south west and I never bring my honda anywhere but Alberta Honda. Always fast, professional and extremely friendly.

well got my car back last night, the admitted to installing the cam seal incorrectly. they fixed it free of charge.
no oil was on the timing belt, as there is a cover over the belt .
this is they told me. so things worked out ok at millwoods honda, just the guy at the service counter sucks ass.
i will probably end up taking my car to alberta honda from now on for service, as i had nothing but good service from there.

hope this give you guys a heads up on where to take your honda.

Thanks for the feedback.. good info.

Dealerships are fucking useless. They are so cookie cutter, can't even get a simple job like cam seals done corrently.
