This is a prelimary annoucement.
V8less will be setting up a 5 car display at Powerama. We will need 5 cars (non-sponsored) to represent V8less in the show.
The will be a official posting with more info posted in the next few days.

I have already sent my registration form to Liz, but I'd rather be in the v8less section than by myself. unless I can be by myself besides the v8less booth, which would effectively let us put 1 more car in the show. :)

Don't the old musclecar punks realize that this is where tuning is going now, these are the musclecars of now. I think that they're just embarrased that there are imports out there that can destroy their cars straight line, and when it comes to corners fuhgetaboudit!

Hey everybody... we need to clarify something about Powerama. We want LOTS of sport compact cars! Mark suggested that 5 of the top cars could go into the V8less display itself, but we talked about filling 30,000 square feet of space with sport compact entries!! For the past 3 or 4 years I've been trying to get the message out (obviously not well enough) that we recognize the trends, and support the growing interest in this type of custom vehicle. Of course we want to see show quality vehicles, but if there's 20, 30, or 40 of you that want to register, we welcome you! In fact, this year we've added a top prize for "Best Sport Compact" of $1,000.00, just to show how eager we are to have you in the show. Sure, there's still going to be all the other types of entries, and maybe some of the older die-hard muscle car guys don't seem to appreciate the younger crowd, but that's been the case since time began. I mean, think about it - do your parents like your music? Probably not, but you likely don't care for theirs either. The fact is, however, a true car enthusiast will appreciate another persons efforts, even if their taste differs.
It's so easy for the wrong information to spread because someone misunderstands. So let's set the record straight... the welcome mat is out! The only way we can create a really impressive import section at Powerama, is if all the people get on board and enter their cars. Liz Oglu - Powerama |

Thanks to those who were interested in being part of the V8less display.
In the interest of supporting Powerama, there is too much confusion on the V8less Display. Therefore we are closing the request for non-competition V8less display cars.
If you wish to part of this great event, please register and support Powerama. You will still be part of the V8less display, but you will need to register through www.powerama.ca. Registration fees will apply.
We really wanted to do the voting system, but it would delay people from entering through the correct channels thus jeopardizing any participation. |
