K7's?

If you get the L7's Or L5's (The square ones) They will Mash the P3's... Just make sure have have enough to power them

and If your' looking for some CVR12's .. I have two.. in a Dual 12 box... PM me.. And You can check them out sometime.. They are also for sale.. :p

Kicker subs will eat those rockfords up the Kicker L7's are square so more cone area than the P3 means they will hit harder and i belive the L7's can handle more RMS than the P3's

Lets look at these two drivers. The kicker L7 will indeed give you more cone area, somewhere in the area of 16-20% more cone area which means in one stroke it will move more air compared to a round sub with the same X-max. The power handling on the sub is 750 Watts/RMS, and has a sensitivity of 87.4 db 1w/1m. Nice sub to get loud with but not nessasarily the most musical on the market. Now lets look at the P3 12. The power handling on it is 500 Watts/RMS and is round. The sensitivity of that sub is 83.6 db 1w/1m. Generally speaking a sub with lower sensitivity in a proper box will be more musical. Basiclly what I am getting at here is that the kicker sub, with all things being equal is going to be louder HOWEVER the p3 should sound better going by the numbers. Problem is I have heard the p3 and thought they sounded like trash, aslo take into acount that the L7 at retail is roughly double the price. The best thing for you to do is try to listen to both subs under similar conditions and see what YOU like the sound of more and go with that. However if this is a vehicle you wanna compete in spl competitons with than you would be foolish to choose the p3 over the solo baric. Thats my .o2 cents

Do you not have the db 1w/1m thing Backwards..?

I agree with you though.. Find some similiar Spaces were you can compare the sub's..

Thanks:D

Stan your retarded. Your comparing the best of kicker to punch series???? lol. Try the POWER series. Of course the L7's would mash the p3's, but 12" l7's vs 12" power series would be a competition! lol. The l5's are comaprable to the p3's. The p3's would be a bit better I think. The l5's would be ebtween the p2's and p3's. lol. You need a car first though bro!

Charles_00civic
Oh Trevor, this is your bud stan asking this! :stickpoke :limpwrist

P/S No sub is better than the t2 15" lol. Ultimate in sound quality if you have a poer series amp hooked up. I mean once you turn em half way up you wont notice a differnet in loudness.. Sound quality however....

No, I got em right if your reffering to my statement about sq. Generally speaking a sub with a higher efficency, in this case the kicker sub, with all things being equal will be louder, HOWEVER the best sq subs out their also generally have a lower sensitivity rating. Just becuase it takes more power to make the same out put doesnt mean that its gonna sound worse as well. One explanation of this, although not the only reason, is that a woofer with a stiffer suspension that controls the sub better, will also take more power to drive, hence the lower efficency. This is one of those times where a bigger number isnt always better. And BTW I know I cant spell efficency, I just dont care enough to figure out the correct spelling :)

you cannot compare rockford to solobaric kickers. the rockfords will OWN kickers.

paha. just kidding get the kcikers if you are serious for bass. but dont forget they take alot of power. dont starve them or they will rebel like a flock of refuges

crawford
if you go with the l7's with a fatty amp i can promise that it will kill thoes pussy punch subs my buddy has two L7's and it is the loudest sytem i have ever heard its a good 2 ohm sub
