Ok I'll get right down to it... I've heard HIN is the hottest show when it comes to imports in the United States and let's face it Canada can't hold a candle to the U.S when it comes to tricked out rides
A Taste of HIN
So I decided hey Seattle isn't that far and I've been a few times and wondering who all would be interested in going. I'm not putting down set dates of when to leave, when we'd be coming back because I'd like your input
You can find all of the info here HIN
You don't necessarily have to drive, a few vehicles would be more then happy to have passengers b/c that 12 hr. drive to Van. can be pretty boring. My thoughts were to leave early morning the day before and get there the night before, hook up with some peeps in Van. and party. Go across the next day and see the show, stay in Seattle and see the night-life and leave the next afternoon or something to that effect.
It's going to be about 2800 k.m round trip including some driving around seeing the sights and with the average fuel consumption of a compact sports car you're lookin at a near being ridiculous 5 tanks of fuel (takes me personally 1 1/2 to get there) so bank on $350 for fuel costs being safe, 2 nights of hotels at about $120/night, and then the tickets at $45.00 a pop, and food about $130 or so for the 3 days... it'll be more then worth it trust me.
Bringing a passenger or two could sure cut down on costs and then sharing a 2 bed room.... about $400 each for 3 days and 2 nights of sweet night life, partying and of course H.I.N... just reply if you're interested and with other suggestions as to when to leave, costs, etc.
I know I'm cashin air miles to pay for my hotel rooms :P
Again.. the date is July 19th Calendar which is a Sat.... leave Fri. morning and be back Sunday night... just pre-liminary plans for now.

you can drive or be passenger and those are all the ideas I've proposed.. it's not too popular (me, redbaron303, JDC, RezaREX, bunch and some of his buds, maybe dogstar, uncle ben)
Ideally 4 cars would be great, the show is not open to Canadian cars as far as I know and it's quite pricey.. my hunk would be outta place there. I'll be driving and Jared wants shottie, christian in chris's ride, wel that looks like 4 cars :D more would be fine but like I said, bring a passenger, 3 people to a room and it keeps the cost down, 1 person sleeps in a bag on the floor, bring some snacks, radar detectors, etc. |
