| So has anyone seen their work? If they do a good job and they know their stuff I dont care if they install things with a butterknife.<p>I'm just curious. You can't make a claim like doing engine swaps without being able to do it. |

Oh....they do work there. I'm sure a few people have gotten work doen there.
If you go to V8less, they'll be there for sure. I'm pretty sure you'll get to see up close what kind of work they can do there.

EZ Motorsports had a tent set up with their "fastest" NA SOHC Civic featured and a few of their other cars there too. notably a blue Honda.....baby blue actually.
they were pretty well organised for the event actually.
Now it was race time......<p>anyoen remember who the black EZ Civic raced against? |

| The only thing I'd go to EZ for is a toaster or TV, ha ha ha. BTW, that skinny white boy with the SOHC is one of the biggest bs'ers I've ever met.<p>Remember, their Turbo Lude is only as fast as a stock one, ha ha ha. |

| Stop being such assholes. Do you guys own a shop? Have you guys been in business for 10 years? How many shops can say that? <p>EZ might not be the best show in town but they have more knowledge than most import shops, and they don't hide behind any excuses.<p>I bet most of you havn't even been in EZ. You should see some of the work they are doing now. |

I';ve been to EZ. Both of their shops.
first one had a lil section for car stuff(air fresheners, etc) and the rest fo the shop was thigns for sale. I'm sure most of you know EZ motorsports is pawnshop/performance shop. The new one is a lil better, alot bigger and more professional. However....the place is still a pawnshop.
The owner(Kevin I think....) is a nice guy, but he doesn;t know what hes doin. After runnin 18's at the track they sent their car to another shop to have it retuned and at the next meet managed 16's. Alot of work went into the car but its just stupid things thats slowing down the car. I give him props for trying......but what I critisize is how he advertises "Fastest Allmotor SOHC Civic in Canada". Fred's old motor ran 14's and his was an all motor SOHC civic also. |

Last time I tried to go to the place, the owners car broke down and he couldn't make it to the shop for like another hour and I had to get back to class in 30.

Please, EZ is the most ghetto shop I've ever seen. Actually I've never been in there but I've talked to the guy with the orange Civic. Oh, I did buy some subs from them once which I sold the next day at a large profit.<p>One time I was with my friend and his MKIV Supra, we parked and the EZ guy started talking to us (Kevin is his name?). He told us about how he built a fierce single turbo Supra for some drug dealer. The drug dealer was rich, so he accepted nothing less than the best. This meant the car had APEXi computers, Blitz turbos, 19" Volks (actually 18's) yadda yadda yadda, everything from Japan. Anyone who thinks that some cute little piggy back computer is the best available, is a fool. Then he went on to tell us how it was all Jun internals, and had a block guard. Block guard?<!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.asianet.ca/images/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo--> On a closed deck engine (2JZ)?<!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.asianet.ca/images/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo--> I'll have a hit of that shit. I'd tell you more lies, but I can't remember all of them, this encounter was over a year ago.<p>If you want to back EZ, then tell me what their fastest car has run. I've never seen better than a mid 15 on a Prelude with over 10K in mods.<p>Face it, they are a joke. 15.00 dial-ins on 17 second cars??? It happens every import shootout with their cars. This just shows how they lie about what their shop is capable of.<p>I was talking to KillerRabbit on the phone today, and he said "Your like me, in that we know what's up, and when we see BS, we call it". Now I don't claim to be a rocket scientist or master tuner, but I have been around for a while and have taken graduate level university courses regarding internal combustion engines, so I know a little more than the average dude. <p>I tell you my experiences of the EZ staff so the wool isn't pulled over your eyes. There is only one guy I know with the 5 spoke 19" Volks. He never got it done at EZ, Toby at Racing Zone and someone else were responsible for that. <p>I met another guy with an HKS Single Turbo Upgrade on a Supra at Battle of the Imports, nice guy, I don't think EZ built that either.<p>Plus you're an idiot if you're telling the world you work for a Dealer. |

| Can you tell me more about that Supra? As far as I know, it has 18" Volk Challenges, Volk has never made that wheel in a 19" size. Also, I don't think APEXi makes a turbo upgrade kit for the 2JZ. My friend said he chased it in his MKIV, but the guy wouldn't race, and it was blowing blue hardcore.<p>Most people call the other dude Mau, he's from Calgary. As far as I know he does all of the work himself. He even has a 2.5RS with a custom turbo kit and TEC II. The guy doesn't mess around when he buys parts <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.asianet.ca/images/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> Just look at the rubber on his Supra, 19" RH M5's with P-Zeros. Then the car has, HKS T51-R, etc. |

I have yet to see "1" car come out of EZ Motorsports, that is quicker then stock regardless of mods? so, therefor I would tell someone anything they pay to get done there would be a waste of money, and possibly make their car run worse. I have heard only bad things about the company from various people.
The only imports in town that are fast have all been built by people that aren't shop owners, and done out of their garages. It's too bad that there isn't even one shop in town that is doing quality work by people who know what they are doing.

You're right too Loose, he's got 18" (I think I need some sleep)<p>That car has been plagued with problems, he melted a piston within the first two weeks, poor guy. The plug insulation came off and got crunched in the chamber and the piston melted on one side. Yeek....<p>When it was running well, it ran really well, the rear end would kick out in 3rd gear going straight from 60kms, it was hilarious.<p>Yeah, Mau was his name, I couldn't remember... his friend had a Vortech supercharged Civic and was programming it with a laptop, that's cool... Great bunch of guys. |

| #### that's cool. The smallest Greddy kit is the T78, and that is no joke. Some say it's even too big.<p>I can't believe they blew it up!!! The 2JZ is one of the stoutest engines ever, and has an amazing ECU. | Yeah, it's pretty nuts, but I think it leaned out too much, the motor has since been rebuilt and up and running again. <p>This time around, the rear diff has been replaced... We had the rear up on Jackstands and in first at idle, one side was spinning, the other side was <glonk><glonk>.....<glonk> (spinning sorta)<p>eep. But I think he's on the road again.<p>I don't remember the size of the turbo but it measured atleast 6 to 8 inches across I may be exaggerating, it was about two years ago I last saw him, but it's big, youcannot lift it with one hand!... |

The guy w/ the single turbo supra (black) and the turboed and TEC II Impreza is Mike Lieu. I haven't met him personally but i know he has hella money. U NEED hella money to do that much work to a supra and impreza.
As far as i know he's done the work on the Impreza and Supra by himself. He built that custom turbo kit for his Impreza a while back, and i think he just recently (a couple months) installed that large single turbo in the supra. I'm not sure on the details.<p>All i can say is ####, i wish i had that much money and know-how to turbo my imrpeza and keep it running. |
