How is that productive? It's not like 'hoping/wishing' etc can make any team make the playoffs.

buddy the flames eat ass...they would be no where without having awesome goaltending. theyre like canada's version of the minnesota wild but with a goalie.
edmonton is competitive and exciting to watch, they dont trap and win games like 1-0 and 2-1.

Stop hatin everybody. I'm with Jeff, I fuckin love the flames and I definitely see more Flames shit in Edmonton than I did Oilers shit in Calgary.
The Flames are a really exciting team to watch and I'll admit, the Oilers are at times as well. If the Flames are out and the Oilers made it to the cup finals, I'd be hoping for them just like I hope Oilers fans would cheer for other Canadian teams if it came down to it.
Ehos, I'm born and raised in Calgary but am going to school here at the U. There's nothing wrong with continuing to cheer for your team.
TegGSR, how do the flame eat ass. They're the top in their division and are a very wellrounded and hardworking team. They have a good defensive core and althoug they lack scoring at times, they get the job done.
I do hope the Oilers make it to the playoffs although they'll need to play well in the last few games of the season to do so.
The more Canadian teams in the playoffs the better and stop fuckin hating. |

IMO they eat ass because they only have a hot goalie. They play the most boring style of hockey and somehow managed like the minnesota wild to preserve the trap in the "new NHL" how can you like watching the flamers more than the oilers?

Haha. Well that's that. This could go on and on but instead of wasting space and time, I'll just let it be...LOL.
If the Oilers make the playoffs and make it past the first round or two, I'll be be hoping they make it far.
I definitely have faith in my Flames though :D |

Besides watching the Edmontonian (Phaneuf) destroy people on his punishing checks and the great saves by Kipper there really isn't anything "really exciting" about them. They usually win games by a single goal due to their style of play and let's face it they rarely ever have a highlight reel goal because their team is composed of hard working players with little individual offensive talent. That being said I totally respect their team. |

For all the people that say that Calgary isn't excited to watch, that's their own opinion. I seriously don't care, I enjoy watching them and if you don't, then don't watch.
If you lived in Calgary and experienced their run to the finals then you'd think the same way. The city was a craze and hockey was life for a while.

So was the Edmonton Vancouver game I went to see a few weeks ago. Probably the worst and least exciting game I've ever paid to see.
Shitty games happen, stop whining about it. I like watching the Flames and I think they'll go a lot further than the Oilers this year who just made the playoffs by a hair on their ass.
Just look forward to the playoffs and stop nit picking. I hope for all the Canadian teams to make it as far as possible. |
