You would think with technology where it is today and the many years that asphalt has been around that they would have perfected it by now or at least came up with a way to make it last longer.
Even many of the areas that were just paved last summer seem to have potholes already. This just means less money for new roads and overpasses that we need while they are busy repairing the old roads and causing more traffic problems.
I just hope they get started soon because I don't want to have a bent rim when I put the 18's back on. Speaking of which, my boss just bent a rim (18") on his Audi S8. $170 to fix so not too bad I guess, but I can think of better things to do with my money. :) |

Chad & Chris: I would really appreciate it if you two stopped ruining other people's threads with your constant mockery of each other.
I will tolerate a few posts in every thread, but if I see that you two are completely ruining someone else's post, I will delete all your replies in that topic.

Back on track....a civil engineering friend of mine told me that the city is working on a type of asphalt that is made of old tires....rubber based asphalt so that there will be some "flex" to it to reduce cracks & potholes |

| Definitley worse this year... I think it is a combination of crappy rebuilding, flash snow storm, warm up to melt snow, water fills crack, below 27 degrees... |

Alright, if you guys want to see bad potholes head out to 167ave just off of 112st. This is the road that goes out to St.Albert, I could try to describe it, but you just have to see for yourself. The lamest thing though, this road was just completely rebuilt in NOVEMBER!!! I'm gonna take the camcorder out and make a little vid of it for you guys to see, it's fucking pathetic how this city works.

Maybe we could actually get lower gas and land taxes if this cities officials would actually HIRE somebody that isn't a $25/hour professional slacker (city worker) that could actually fix the roads properly once in their lives.
Heck they just COMPLETELY resurfaced that whole section of the whitemud between terwilliger and 109ish street and already you can see signs of wear.
Talk about crap!
...on the brighter side, at least its warming up now  |

No Steve, I don't think you've seen it in the past 2 weeks, it's a fucking minefield, there is literally more pothole than actual road. On a bit of a side note, this section of road that I'm speaking of has now been blocked off because of it's horrible condition and people breaking suspension/denting wheels/getting whiplash. I'll take a walk out there tomorrow and videotape it a little, you guys won't believe that this fucking road was completely redone 5 months ago.

| They can't seem to do anything right what about the crowns and dips on the road on 170St. from all the heavy semi traffic? turning left on 170 st. heading northbound your car bounces like it has hydraulics... semi's can't weigh that much more that they do that to the roads... why not go with concrete? More expensive but in the semi lanes on highways in some states they use it and it holds up in time |
