EvilColt
Here's the Specs:

AMD Opteron 146 CPU, 1MHz cache, server class reliability plus super overclocking, have had this over 3.0GHz (where it outperforms every single single core processor on the market...including an FX-57).

MSI Neo4 Platinum NF4 SLI Motherboard-Very high quality board, handles 300+ FSB with no worries

OCZ 2X512 MB Platinum Rev 2 memory. You want 300FSB with your memory? This can do it, or 2-2-2-5 timings at PC3200 speeds

ASUS 7800GTX 256MB.-awesome vid card, was king of the hill until just recently, still runs everything awesomely, Has ASUS's wicked cooling (NV5 silencer) and a huge retail box full of games and goodies!

250GB Samsung Spinpoint drive. Beats up on everything but a Raptor. 1 month old...only about 20 hours of actual use

Soundblaster Audigy2 ZS OEM. All it takes is a flash to make this an Audigy4

Enermax 465P-VE, 460Watts, Super high quality, manual fan control, dual Fans and 33A on 12V rail for ultra stability.

ASUS 16X Dual Layer DVD Burner, Black , full retail box

Diskette drive. (yes, I still use it occasionally),also Black

Lian-Li PC6085A Case. Interior Modified slightly for watercooling(not presently in case), but outside is almost bone stock, except for the 4 bank fan controller.

Samsung 204T 20" LCD..... 1600X1200 on an LCD, so much better than the 1280X1024 any 19" will give you.... (brand new too!)
Or....
BenQ FP231W-D 23" LCD panel...this uses the same panel as the Apple Cinema displays.....Absolutely beautiful!! Staggering 1920X1200 resolution!!

3Dmark05 Scores in the 8600-9000 range, depending on your taste for overclocking.

All of this Quake-rocking Beauty for only $1730 with the 20" LCD, $2025 with the 23"!

$1295 without the LCD

If you want a more basic case, I could arrange to put it in an Antec SLK3000, and it'd save you $60!

Needless to say I'm taking a loss on this, it was going to be my new main rig, but my vehicle, out of necessity, has to come first.

PM me for questions, pics, or just to razz me about thinking of spending well over 2K for my computer in the first place

price without LCD ?

Soulfly
Most definately a Rocking system.. I have pretty much the same stuff But Bigger names, Like Asus, Maxtor... and I had the Athlon 4000+ CPU.. so.. It owns..

The 7800 GTX Is One KICK ASSED Card!!

only thing left for this system.. Is 2gb's of ram.. 1 simply Isn't enough..

EvilColt
Without the LCD, it'd be $1460 ;)

For brands, the only ASUS I'd even consider taking over the DFI is an A8N32-SLI. I Love the DFI's Voltage options and deep BIOS control.
The eVGA Video I chose for the lifetime warranty, only them and BFG have that.
I absolutely LOVE OCZ's RAM........their RMA is the best by far, and I've had great quality stuff from them. I have a second set of OCZ 2X512's (just the value tho) if someone wants to go to 2 Gig. I also have Mushkin Redline XP4000's, which are the same as the OCZ VX, except binned for even higher speeds. I've had those to 257 at 2-2-2-5 latencies. They'd match well with the VX.

The Samsung drive I chose, even though it is more expensive than a Maxtor, for it's phenomenal performance. WD and Maxtor I find are about equal, and here's a review of the Samsung compared to the WD 250GB Drive review

I chose the Opteron for a few reasons....the 90nm manufacturing process(the 4000+, for instance, may have a 90nm or a 130nm process) which generates less heat, but mainly for the incredible overclocks capable with these processors. Some 4000+'s can hit 3GHz, but not the majority, especially with air cooling. This Opteron happily runs at 2.8GHz, and can be pushed to 3GHz, but that requires more voltage and I like to keep my processor pretty close to stock voltage. That said, at stock speeds, the 4000+ will Own the Opty, as they have the same cache size, but the 4000+ is clocked 20% higher.

Even the LCD I chose specifically as a 20" due to the fact it's a huge pixel jump going from 1280X1024 that 17's and 19's do to 1600X1200. Everything looks so sharp....it's phenomenal. If someone really wants a widescreen instead, I could be talked into parting with my Dell 2005FPW instead :)

Hope that answers all the questions anyone might have...feel free to Post or PM me with any others you can think of!

Mr.DC5
price for the LCD?

doanster
bump for u

is that staying as a bundle or would u part it out?

EvilColt
I've had a few requests to part out the LCD, PM me and we may be able to work out something in there. Same goes for any individual parts within the system. Many components (MB, Memory) can be changed/downgraded to save cash, or if you need just a CPU, MB, Mem, I can possibly help.....I've got 2 other MB's and other memory to choose from.

EvilColt
Many PM's but nothing finalized.....I will separate the LCD if it's needed!

Jord@n
How much for the LCD?
Is it in good condition?
PM me please :)

doanster
Took a look last nite... this guy has some pretty amazing hardware in his basement :)

EvilColt
New price..dropped the sys $100!!!!

Separate prices: LCD: $450
Tower: $1380

EvilColt
Will part out system if I get a reasonable amount of the stuff spoken for.....

And drop on the LCD to $435!!

Also have Mushkin Redline 2X512 Kit...runs 255 MHz at 2-2-2-5....., could swap this for the VX!

EvilColt
Bump up for some changes to the system! Now it's a high FSB monster!:p

EvilColt
Now I've got an even BIGGER LCD to go with this package, for those who like GIANT displays!

It's a Brand new (bought yesterday) 23" Widescreen LCD!!

1920X1200 resolution....and yes the 7800GTX is just the right card to actually play games at this Res!!

So the System with the 23" is now $2025!!

EvilColt
Cleaned out the in-out box, so to speak:smack: :smack:
