Would you put Edelbrock parts on your car - Click HERE for Original Thread

beswa
Yes, No and why

Soulfly
No..
Because I own an Import.. and It's an Inline 4.

Edelbrock parts are for the Domestic V8 Muscle Guy's..

(I don't care that they have a turbo kit for Honda's)

That's Like asking a Muscle car owner If he'd put any HKS or Greddy Parts on his car..

turbohatch
yes i would put an edelbrock piece on my car...i could careless what the name says as long as its efficent and edelbrock shit usually is...like they're intake manifolds and so on

agreed..they make some good shit..some bad but some good..depends on the part i guess

Shady_Pro
jg dynamics...designs most of edelbrocks parts for imports...

i mean edelbrock isn't just gonna go out and make parts and expect them to sell because of the name. They are smarter then that, vic edelbrock has a reputation to uphold.

SilverNeonRacer
I'm about to get an edelbrock intake for my car... sooo yes.

I find it quite funny when I see guys putting the Edelbrock Intake Manifolds on their stock motors. I wonder if they realize they just LOSS power by putting that on? (The Edelbrock IM is designed to give top end power (7,000-10,000 RPM, and it actually losses low-mid range power on a stock motor)

Just a thought...

Maybe your speaking about the stuff for imports, but I'm getting an eddie performer good for idle - 5500 rpm.

Everything I'm getting is idle-5500rpm, cause well it shifts out of first at 5500, then never goes above 4000 for second, and 3rd, never gotten her about 3000rpm(prolly more like 2800rpm). Then again, in my car it's all the bottom end tq that gets me moving. A similar equiped engine to mine tq peaks at 2800 rpm and hp at 3800rpm.

Yes, I was referring to imports. Mainly small displacement 4 cylinder engines.

edelbrock and jg are two different companies, as shady pro has said. they make quality pieces and I would definately rock their parts. i am using their 65mm TB which is a high quality piece and is made by magnetti marelli. very happy with it.

i give edelbrock or JG edelbrock ( whatever you want to call it)

edelbrock is a pioner of air flow.

yes

Murph
Yes i would...

seen there stuff run well into the 11's

Kyle D.
Yes I would 2 and do. I have a performer rpm airgap intake manifold on my truck.

Other than there intake manifolds im not a huge fan of there parts. I put a edelbrock carb on a Trans-am I owned when i was younger and hated it. looks kinda gay under the hood as well. Holley is hands down your best bang 4 the buck. sooooo manny things you can do with a holley carb.

There cylinder heads,,, prety good but if i owned a chevy ide go with AFR's any day.

youngbex
if i had a camaro then yes!
because i own a JDM no F in way

180sxforthewin
Yes all the way

American Rice
yes and I am. Because they make the best intakes in my honest opinion and that being the air gap series which is going into my RX-7.

Kyle D.
 totaly

did u drop a V8 in your RX-7 ?

American Rice
best believe it. 388 stroker engine. Going for that fast sports compact record there ! lol Try to make the top 3 on motor

Kyle D.
haha that must piss off alot of the ricers here

good job tho man. when do u hope to have it compleat ?

American Rice
ya it pisses off so many triangle heads, but it should be done by mid June. You will see me a red one with a turbo2 hood, and my buddy that has a black one with a 355 in it (huge cowl hood) at bud park every friday night

imo you need to go pretty large to have problem losing power on an im

i have a box manifold large daimeter runners and 65mm tb and i'm not losing any power to a port and polish with a 57mm tb

all this on a 2.0l too... no cams...
