Fantastic, especially those mods that look after The Locker Room.

You guys are doing a pretty good job. I am still relatively new compared to some members, but you guys have a very good presence on the forums. Keep it up!

the_fornicator
pretty good, imo. very fair.

sometimes some threads take a bit of time before they're cleaned up, but hey, can't be watching the place 24.7.

Good job but sometimes it seems that the marketplace, specifically cars for sale, gets thrown off topic more then it should.

As moderators and admin...do you think you should all have a more active role in the 780 meetings on the weekends?

I havent seen one of you guys there...IMO you (admin) should be attending the meets with some sort of regularity.

I'd love to attend more meets, problem is my job has me working alot of after business hours to take care of updates and what not so I usually end up being stuck at work during all of the meets

I disagree, and here's why.

While it would be nice to see some of them at meets occasionally, I don't think it should be considered a requirement. The actual meetings themselves have nothing to do the administration of this forum site. It just happens that people advertise these meets here on 780, and a large majority of people that show up to those meets also happen to be 780 members.

But... the administrators and moderators of 780tuners.com have no responsibility for what happens at "meets", nor should they. Not to mention there is a liability aspect. "780tuners" as an entity is not a registrered non-profit organization (AFAIK), or even an official car club. If the admins made themselves prominant at these meets and something serious happened at one of them, it is conceivable and probable that any ensuing legal action could land THEM in hot water. And they are not currently covered by any kind of "club directors insurance", AFAIK.

IMO, its probably best that the admins keep a low key and the attendees at these meets understand that when they go they do so at their own risk. But IF members really want official presence there then the proper steps have to be taken (ie. insurance, etc.) and there will be costs associated with that.

good job on PWning the "water-tester". he needed to be reminded of who is the boss on here.

Not sure who/what that was aimed at... :dunno:

Pardon?

I see your point Jason but I still think they should make a presense sometime. I dont agree that if they do show up that 780 will become liable...it is a public meet after all.

sparkycivic
i meant that the guy who broke the marketplace rules, and then got in the moderator's face after he was reminded about it, got moderated. I am pleased about that. Keep it up
