| 800$ is a good deal for a car that runs but diddn't those things have electrical issues? I dont remember what but my dads girl friend had a couple and they nickle and dimed her to death. |

Id agree that 800 bux for a running car sounds good.
But yeah about the electrical, my dad had a 93 Probe as well and there were alot of stupid little things wrong with it.
He had to turn the wipers on before he could start the car:dunno:
Pretty much scrapped it recently due to a blown head gasket. |

No. They just have expensive part issues. |

The 2nd gen probes have a bigger aftermarket than the 1st gens. Personally I'd rather own a 2nd than a first. Also you can do a straight engine swap for a klze that pumps out around 200hp once you chip the ecu for it. They're way better looking than the 1st gens. Check out some forums too:
www.performanceprobe.com
www.probetalk.com
I wanted to pick up a gt with high millage and drop in the klze. There's some auto shops in the city that'll be able to import you the jdm engine. Probes and mx6's are way underrated, and all you have to do is coax the power outta them. |

| I say buy it you can't go wrong for $800. From what I heard a KLZE isn't that much money. |

it's because most probe's are just beaterz that don't get enough loving.
a lowered probe GT is one of the sexiest things ever. sadly mine was sold before I got the chance to drop it. |

| My freind got a 94 probe gt and I really like it. Have driven it once they are pretty nice. He is getting an engine swap for it but still the stock engine was good. v6. Dont get an early model probe turbo though they are all beaten to shit. Probe is a nice car. |

Wow... $800... I paid $6200 4yrs ago.
Mind you it had alot fewer KM's. It seems most of the Probe owners (don't say that one to fast) I know are starting to have major problems after 300000kms.
Funny thing about Probe owners. Even if they sell the car, they never forget it. Even if it was a bitch, they still look back at the car fondly. |

| The probe was supposed to replace the mustang as fords new platform sportscar, that's why from 1987-1993 the mustang never changed, there was no plans for it's existence past 1987. But due to a major outcry from enthusiast's the mustang stayed. |
