Looking for a career change - autobody or welding apprenticeship - Click HERE for Original Thread

wubba_65
Hi all,

I'm looking for an apprenticeship. I currently work in an inside sales position, and although I'm busy, I'm bored. I like working with my hands, and creating/repairing things. I was a carpenter in a cabinet making shop previously, and I really enjoyed it.

If anyone out there knows where I can start off as an apprentice (or if you're looking for help at your shops) let me know.

Herein lies the rub however. With my established debt (car, condo, university degree - don't ask, a career in it isn't going to happen), I'd need to make at least $38,000/year. I'm willing to work overtime, and even head out of town for stretches for the first year or so to get there, but eventually I'd like to work from the city.

If you want to make other suggestions I'm game as well...

Thanks.

Evan.
