For the longest time I kept Yeoman's Steakhouse on the top of my list but recently....Outback Steakhouse in the West End gets top spot.

My top 3, in order of best to worst:
Valentino's in WEM, on Bourbon street only a 12oz, still quite tender, nowhere near as tender as Outback, but it was so full of flavor I ordered a second one. It was on par with places for price, I think it was like $16.
David's on Argyl, used to be the spot my grand parents took me for birthdays when grandma didn't want to cook, good texture, good flavor. Dunno cost.
I had a 20oz from Outback just north of WEM, really really tender, It was over 1.5" thick, and I didn't need a knife, but it was bland, kinda like they boiled it, then grilled it for looks. I think it was about $25ish |

The secret to Outbacks on the west end it to ask for it to be season and seared. This adds ALOT of flavour and they know how do do it properly (ie. not overcook the poor meat)
Anyone else I've asked to do this fell short massively, ended up over cooking it, or just plain didn't know what I was talking about. Keg, Sawmill, etc.
I like to have my steak Rare, that's how I like it, anything else is just a waste :)
When Outback seasons and sears the 20 oz Prime Rib, the outside is flavourful, has the nice charred/burned meat flavour while retaining the juicy tender/melt in your mouth inside that only a steak served in "Rare" can deliver. <slobber>
I find Outback *westend* is the only one that can get it right.
The SIlver Bullet bar on the south side was quite good too, I'm not sure if it's still there, but they used to have half off meat on Sundays...
And holy shit I want a steak now :) |

The best prime rib hands down is from costco. lol. Cook it yourself motherfocker!
Um. My favourite prime rib is from NORTHLANDS.. the horse racing restaunrant. Gambling and prime rib. Ive had it at the keg and everywhere but nothing beats homemade. |

Go to northlands spectrum. Bet on the races and eat some prime rib. Its surprisingly awesome. |
