so i E-filed my taxes in the feb, and after waiting well over a month it was finally process and supposed to arrive at my house yesterday(or atleast the automated service said that to me).
i didnt recieve my cheque yesterday so i called them today and apparently canada post recieved my cheque, but couldnt deliver it so i gotta phone CRA and arrange for a second cheque to be delivered.
at first i thought i might have put in a wrong address, but after looking at my E-file stuff that H&R block gave me, it wasnt possible. and along with that they asked me if it was my correct address like 10 different times. also, the person from CRA i called asked me for it and nothing was wrong with it. so this kinda rules out a wrong address.
im still waiting for my cheque and im supremely pissed at canada post for not being able to deliver it and CRA for taking over a month to process something that was E-filed(my family sent theirs in 2 weeks after me and got their full returns back before me, they never E-filed it)
has anybody had this happen to them before, because this just doesnt seem right for it to take so long to get my return process and mailed to me. |

| what kind of e-file program did you use? was it registered or did you download it illegally? i downloaded mine and just filled in the information on real forms from the drugstore and mailed it in, got my cheque 3 weeks later. if you downloaded it, i woudlnt recomend filing using that program. |

i actually paid H&R block to do my taxes and they E-filed it on the spot with confirmation code and everything for me. not really sure what happened at CRA though... |

| That happened to me last year. They supposedly sent a cheque and it never arrived. (That's not the kind of thing you miss in the mail) So I had to phone and have them re-issue a cheque. The second one made it in no time. |

CRA sent the cheque, but canada post couldnt send it for some awkward reason. i still dont think it should have taken so long cause there was a 5 week delay in just processing alone.
how long did it take for the second cheque to get in the mail? |

Man paying someone else to do your taxes is bunk.
Its so easy to do them yourself its not even funny, just download and print out the forms for it off the government site, fill em out, send em in.
I did them myself for the first time this year, mailed it out, and in less than 10 days I had my money direct deposited into my bank account (along with my GST credit). |

| i efile all the time do my taxes online and get my refund usually in two to three weeks got mine on wednesday exactly 14 days after i posted it |

would this being my first time E-filing them and first time doing taxes make much of a time difference? |
