I figure we probably have a large number of people here that have worked landscaping in the summer.
I am looking for something simple (Picture below) - I have yet to see this product available at Home Depot or anything in a brick version I can lay myself, but from searching the web I notice that landscapers can get a machine to do it rather easily.
Does anyone know of a local company that does a good job doing concrete edging/curbing? Approx cost / foot?
Any stores I could go to whereby I could acquire edging, like below, in block form? Or is that not a good way to go? I see my choices being limited because of curves and whatnot, but figure you guys who might have done this would know...

My family had the landscapers do our yard last year and I noticed that the machine they use actually cuts the edging into blocks as it's laying them. The concrete is also pretty fragile in that type of long shape and tends to break very easily if lifted so I'm not sure if they even sell blocks like that.

Curbing, its relatively expansive, and you dont want a mediocre company doing it either.
I did some curbing a long time ago. A really good company is "Cutting Edge" they do really great work and have lots of pattern stamps. When they mix the color they add coloring to the concrete so the color lasts a life time, most other copanys spray on the color, over time the color wears off.
Theres another compnay out there "Quick Curb", they're cheap and you pay for what you get.
Cutting edge charges about $9.00 a foot i believe and quick curbs like 7.
Hope this helps |

| oh and another thing, if done right with the proper mixture or "Air and Trait, and color" mixture in the concrete its not at all fragile and lasts along time. |

I noticed those two people when I did some research on the web.
Do you know anyone local who uses the Cutting Edge machines? |

Yeah - I'd like to keep that as my last resort. A permanent solution would be best, plus I can always pay a little extra and get the fancy edging to look like brick, tile, etc... |

Cutting Edge is not equitpment but a compnay that comes out and pours the curb for you.
They're listed in the phone book. |

It can be poured you or you can get brick type things you lay.
The base is important. you want a good based with a couple inches of compacted level sand. You can rent tools to cut the concrete with(diamond blade wet saw, my dad has one.)
I've done similar projects, not quite the same as in the pic, smaller pieces on concrete bricks. |
