Hey guys I ended up buying some speakers for my laptop but realized that only 2 out of the 5 work.. i think I might have a 2 channel sound card, but i was just wondering is it possible to somehow get the other speakers working or will i need to get a differnt sound card?
edit: where can i find another sound card for a laptop? |

if you got a 'Y' Splitter.. Hook in your 'Rear speakers' and 'Front Speakers' Into the 'Y' And plug it in normally..
You'll have the same sound through out all of your speakers... but you WILL NOT have surround sound... |

Alright well I have 2 rear 2 front and 1 center speakers, and a sub. now they all connect into the sub then I have 3 cables comming out of it, i have a green(front speakers) orange(center speakers) and black(rear speakers) but only one input place to plug on cable into so is it possible to like get a splitter and hook them all into it then plug it into the sound input on ym laptop? is that what you kind of mean?
edit: so i guess i would mean like a Y splitter but with one more plug in, what would that be called, a W splitter lol? |

| Check yousub for 2/4/6 channel switch... mine have one, if you switch it to 2 channel mode, the sub has a built in Y and "simulates" surround sound to the rest of the speakers. |
