Can you fit golf clubs into the trunk of a miata? - Click HERE for Original Thread

REFLUX
I tried doing a quick search on Google & the Wildrose forums but didn't turn up anything.

Seems like all reviews that include "miata" and "golf clubs" are about the new generation (which makes sense), so I'm having some trouble figuring out how big the trunk of an older Miata is.

Any insights? :D

Oh & does a Miata really use 87 octane???

2003specv
No to the golf clubs, and yes to the octane.

MX5 Miata Guy
Yes to golf clubs...dependant on the generation.

Mk1 Miatas (1990-97) will fit clubs in a soft-sided bag, with the driver's taken out and oriented the other way. Even more room if you take the spare tire out.

Mk2 Miatas (1999-2005) will fit clubs no problem.

Mk3 Miatas...sorry...MX-5s (2006+) should fit them too, no problem.

As to octane, all Mk1 Miatas take 87, 1999-2000 Mk2 Miatas as well, but the 2001-2005 Mk2 Miatas and all Mk3 MX-5s require 91 if you want all of the available horsepower.
