How dare Bush cite Rwanda as an example - Click HERE for Original Thread

ChromeDragon
I don't really feel like typing this all out, but George Bush has the brass to say that Rwanda was a massive failure of the UN security council and therefore they cannot be trusted. The truth is, yes it was a huge failure, yes nearly a million people were wiped out in one of the largest occurences of Genocide this generation will see. What they fail to mention is that the US severely opposed the protection and assistance of these 800,000+ Tutsis and Hutus, and that they actually sabotaged attempts by others to assist those being wiped out. Granted this was Bill Clinton in power at the time, and he claimed "ignorance" about the situation. George Bush summed it up with a comment during a speech on the campaign trail back in 2000. "God forbid, another Rwanda should take place," Mr. Bush replied: "We should not send our tropps to stop ethnic cleansing and genocide outside our strategic interests...I would not send United States troops into Rwanda."

Now after reading this, take a quick glance at this page and tell me that you still honestly believe that this war isn't in large part about oil.

DubYah has the i.q of the barn horse and the balls of a bull, you call it a democracy when the people decide who should be in power but why is it that the top of the food chain gets to decide without any consent to go to war? And then brainwash their peoples... I watched that address of his and he answered every question the same.. it was like there was a sniper aimed right a the reporters head and he read out some simple question, good 'ol propaganda

When the gubmint censors the media...
then tells them that they CANNOT ask any questions that will place the gubmint in any bad light.

It just shows the propaganda machine in full swing.

Don't expect any full, truthful, or accurate reports from the U$ media.
Even info coming out of the oil war, is being censored and okayed before it's released...
