Hi all, I have a question, were there any 1991 Honda NSX released in Japan?

If so, do you know why they're not available for import? thanks!

Previous discussions have come to the conclusion that there is no savings in getting a NSX from Japan, and it might actually cost more than one from the US.

thanks, forgot to search, I'll put ACURA NSX here so ppl can find it. we can't search 3 letter words eg. NSX.

So I read the old posts and I used "acura" to find them

anyway, I was hoping import will lower the local market price, but guess not, back to waiting.

hmm I'm still deciding on my 3 choices.

canadian S14 to S15 front end conversion
S15 will start import 2014

93 supra price should drop in 08 when import starts or if MKV starts production

91 nsx guess no price drop :( affordable if i get a large raise!
maybe not, coz nobody lends for 15yr+ old cars for decent rates

There's a guy on here who got a loan for his NSX he just picked up - take a look in the Photo/Gallary section, he chronicles his story.

My question would be why you would possibly want a RHD NSX when there are perfect, unmolested LHD NSXs in the States where you can actually know the history of them and talk to the current owner...

morningla
it takes too much time and money to drive/fly down then drive the car back to Edmonton. I remember I read a post about you buying one from the states. How far did you get your car from?

I will definaetly have to take holiday as I also work sundays...

will import concern import one from the states for me? possibly lower service charge?

If I get down to the location and I don't like the car, what do you do then?

I just checked the price on the auction pages, they are real expensive in Japan, definately higher than the states.

I do like LHD.

As far as a loan goes for your car, I'd suggest applying for an unsecured line of credit. This typically carries a lower interest rate than a car loan and is much more flexible. You use it when you need it and has more flexible pay-back terms.

We don't broker vehicles from the USA. I would recommend you look for websites relating to importing from the US, there are quite a few.

I got mine from Texas. It took me 3 days to drive it home. It could have been done in two. We only drove during the day.

If you get down there and don't like what you see, fly home. A $300 plane ticket isn't too bad to see the car in person.

The import from the US process isn't that tough.

If you want an NSX, I have to say the US is the place to get them. No question about it. I could easily sell mine for a profit up here.

For a car like an NSX being so expensive I would want to see it prior to purchase to make sure I was gettign exactly what I wanted rather than buying one from japan and crossing my fingers

as well ... USDM MKIV prices will not drop I am certain, even though JDM versions will be coming in the prices will stay the same just like on NSX

I never saw mine in person till I picked it up. But it's nice knowing the history behind it before getting it.

apperently not true as they made 4000 times more mkiv for japan then they did for north america. i have been told to expect $15000-$20000. correct me if i am wrong.

i highly doubt the jdm supras will be any cheaper -sure there will be many, but none in as good of quality so if u want one that hasnt been mangled ur gonna be paying the same price - thie coming from a guy who shopped for over a year to find the perfect one in arizona .
