jdm h22a is the same thing but built with different internals.. im pritty sure?

preluderca
Well what im concerned about is the fact that there is a difference in positions of oil Filters......im just tryin to figure it out before i get too far into the install i cant telll anything, honda cant tell me anything, but thanks for the help man.

IDTrav
u planning on boosting the new motor matt?

mike3
You shouldnt run into any problems. Its weird about the oil filter. Doies it look like its been relocated or anything? The New engine should bolt right up to the tranny. and if it doesnt buy my old tranny haha. Looks like you'll be up to par again, no more getting your ass handed to you by a stock H23 eh? haha
Let me know if you need a hand with yours, Im working on ym swap right now.

no i still have the plan to boost the old motor, while i build up the blown one, i'm gonna drive the jdm until the old motor is built, thinkin about sendin my block to laskey racing, since work picked up , i just miss driving the damn car i might end up having to buy the tranny mike, i think the atts is gonna fuck me up, and dont worry, i got some shit for ya for this year, they have a few little items to install before it goes into the car ..... :D

I do not think that the SH tranny will work on the JDM or a base model. I believe that they have different mounts.

I think that you would have to get a base model tranny...

Good luck
Toby

You bought a base model h22 for a Type-SH Prelude? You're going to need non-atts transmission, & base axels. The distributor from the jdm h22a will need to be rewired as well.

The oil filter on the TypeSH is in a different location than on the base model h22a, it has not been relocated. And no, the ATTS tranny will not bolt right up to his new motor.
