Ok, i'm the guy looking for the engine. Thanks Nick for posting for me, i had to make a new email accout to sign up since the mods wouldn't respond. Anyway, that doesn't matter. As the post says i'm looking for a KA from a 240 from 91-96. My 240 is in storage back in Newfoundland, i'll be bringing it up sometime this fall. I'd like to pick up a block, head, and intake mani to strip down, get machined and start building before the car gets here. I'm aware of Necc, however i prefer Nico, ka-t.org, and recently turbo240.com. I've had my car for 4 years and suffice it to say i've researched it to death, but i had to move to alberta to be able to afford to do it. Now that i can i want to get started asap. I'm sure there's a few people that have swaped to a SR, CA, or RB that have one kicking around. Or someone might know of a wrecked or scrapped 240, kms don't really matter, neither does compression. Basically i'll consider anything that doesn't have a hole in the block, and isn't siezed. I'd like a tranny, but not without a motor, 5spd only.
Any Nissan guys with questions or just wanna chat about KA-T's, pm me for my other email for msn. And if anyone needs a hand working on thiers, i work for beer on weekends, lol...thanks for any help!

Is NECC edmonton based? I never visited much in the past, but i just noticed the track days on the home page. Wow, i'll have to check it out, maybe visit a few meets... |

1 GO N-E-C-C IF NEED A KA24DE THERE IS PLENTY id say in past month i've seen 2-3 . Most of guys on n-e-c-c run sr's etc so keep an eye there if you want one localy ,for ka-t info nico and ka-t.org are by far more aDVANCED than n-e-c-c but for local parts n-e-c-c is good.,!!!
2 where the hell where you a month ago hahaha i needed someone to give me a hand putting my ka-t back together after i had ka- rebuild.

| Yeah i've been putting off joining necc till this weekend, just no time during the week...i'd love to see your setup, back in newfoundland 240's are very rare, i have one of 4 S14's and there's maybe a dozen S13's, less than half modified, only one with any power a S13 with a SR. Mine was next, but since i never used my nitrous on the track before i left i'm still slow without numbers...so seeing a 240 with some actual work done and talking to someone who had a clue about them was pretty limited...looking forward to visiting a few nissan meets, even if i have to park around the corner in my mitsu for now... |

Exactly, the big forums like NICO and KA-T.org have a lot more guys, which means tons of info.
We have a lot of knowledgable guys over at NECC though, and its Edmonton based. We're having our monthly meet tonight if you want to check us out! |
