Exhaust recommendation for my Eclipse GT? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Brettzo
With so many different types and brands of exhaust products on the market for our vehicles, which have proven best? I will be doing a full exhaust mod after my CAI. I've been looking around the internet, but there's so many! What are you using? I need something cost effective, that wont sacrafice performance.

A friend of mine put Injen on his 02-03 eclipse, and it sounds AMAZING!!!
Honestly, I never thought that V6 could ever sound that good.

Can you try to be more general man..? Your question's too specific.

 j/k

Seriously, have you tried asking your peers on an Eclipse forum?

I have the Greddy Evo II cat-back exhaust on mine and it sounds wicked, check out Club 3G There is all you will ever need on that site for the 3G

Hustler M
Greddy makes about the nicest exhaust IMO. It fits awesome and sounds nice. Injen stuff is also very nice.

Are you guys running rich? I know the 3G is very rich running already and I've heard it's even more so after any kind of mods.

check out www.club3g.com for a lot of 3rd gen information. I have a Magnaflow cat back exhaust on mine and I love the sound. Not loud but a nice lower toned sound.

Mine has started throwing my check engine light a lot lately and someone off here scanned it for me and it said it was running rich. So to answer your question. Yes.

wow, thats bad to hear? What octane runs in these eclipses? Id hope not 91. Shouldnt the ECU adjust itselft to those simple mods though? The injectors cant be having THAT hard of a time could they?

I personally run the cheapest fuel. Technically yes the ECU should adjust itself which must be what it does when the light goes out. It doesn't stay on constantly. Then again you are talking about a mitsubishi so you never know. :D

hmm yea, thats funny, it should learn the new parameters adn keep them. Sorry to hear that. Guess you need to sort that out
