Building My Computer-Help - Click HERE for Original Thread

theStartingLine
So I am building my computer from scratch and I can't get the computer to Auto-Detect My Primary Master Harddrive. It recognizes the CD drive and my slave harddrive in CMOS. I have both harddrive on IDE1 and my cd drive on IDE2. I have all the jumper settings right and the cables are all good. Does anybody have any idea what the problem might be? Or do I need to get a new motherboard?

Thanks for your help.

Kyle

maybe a roll 'o' duck tape would help

or wack it a couple of times with a baseball bat

Take the easy way out and go buy a premade computer... plug and play :)

theStartingLine
Yeah but it does not hold the same meaning and I don't have a lot of money lol.

Have you reset your bios?

Try only hooking up the primary hard drive

Is the jumpers on the primary set to primary and the jumpers on the secondary set to secondary?

Is the HD bad?

Do you need a BIOS update?

Is it all plugged in correctly?

Is your power supply good anough?

If you need more help, just pm me and I'll see what I can do for you.

check ur power supply and ^^^ only connect one hard drive the primary one u want and see if that works. gotta make sure its primary and secondary for the other.
