Welcome to the club. You get used to it.

rythex
Yeah, it took me a bit to get used to having the little rear slit of rear view at first. It wouldn't be too bad except for the rear strut tower...

who knows what nissan was thinking when they made that thing :P

to bad the 350 is slow

rythex

n0c7
A near 300hp/300 ft-lbs stock vehicle slow? Compared to what? The 350z being slow debate is like the NSX debate - for an exotic its underpowered, when you're comparing it to a FERRARI. In my opinion, their power to weight ratio could be better, but overall its a beautiful snappy car with lots of potential and a good base to work with.

GT34
They're sexy cars with a wicked aftermarket. Don't waste too many summer days thinking about it. And if your only complaint is not being able to see out the bad window I think you're on the right track. I don't know why you'd want to anyways.:dunno:

at least you don't have to worry about your engine being fucked every time you drive it

Roadster is ugly.

The roadster just accentuates how fat of an ass the 350Z has.

Supra_devil
i know someone who dynoed 220rwhp in their 350Z. as was stated above, that seems low compared to top end vehicles, but when mated to that nice 6 speed i liked it. rear view, i noticed the same thing (also 6'1") but i have driven worse. i love the stiffness of the chassis compared to other cars i've been in though, makes cars i thought were tight seem floppy, lol.

rythex
Why so much hate for the 350Z? Define "slow" ?Slow in the 1/4 mile?

Name another brand new car *stock* that traps the same or better 0-60, 1/4 mile, that is RWD and cheaper than the 350Z.

Until the new Supra comes out, the 350Z is the fasted import car in its class.

ehos
Warning benchracing ahead...

Bitskyline
i liked it, car had balls. spun 1,2 and cherped 3rd.. no other car i have drivin so far can do that... well maybe the M3 at edmonton BMW on 75th the blue comp. pkg one. kick ass car! only $72,000

silvermist
this is why they have side mirrors, use those instead of the rear window.

Mustang, GTO, Charger/300C/Magnum (Hemi ones, and obviously the SRT's Include the Crossfire SRT as well) SRT-4 is faster as well but is FWD

Imports? Not sure about that. RWD anyways...

Not quite fastest in its class, think the STI is in that class as well.

But I learned something today, had no clue it was RWD, assumed it was FWD.

Cool looking cars anyways.

That's no fair.

You can't compare 2006 technological, engineering, design advances to a car that was designed over 15 years ago.

It's not fair to the 2006 cars.

Stock RX7's run about the same stock (14 flat) as well.

They just respond better to mods.

~30oZ~
My "Z" is faster than yours! Stock Vs. Stock! haha:p the 350Z is a sweet car! but it's not a TT 300Z...:D  Z32 vs. all the other Z's in history.

95IntegraRS
350Z... Good choice...

You're nuts, I think the 350Z is a great looking car roadster or hardtop, buuuuut, I could buy a G35 which looks even better for almost the same price.

As far as it being slow, that doesn't matter to everyone, buy a sportbike if you want something fast, buy a 350Z if you want a great all around car.

rythex
Anyways, for the price I paid for my 350Z I have a car with 1/20 the mileage, more reliability, better standard features, better handling and way better availibility of parts and an overall more sexy car than a 300ZX.

Not to mention way easier to work on......

All at the sacrific of .1 second of 1/4 mile times..

:drama:

Yup, gotta go with the G35.

Doesn't the Quest Minivan, Altima? have the same engine?

rythex
Yes, they all share the VQ35DE.. give or take 30hp or so.

I think the only car in the Nissan lineup that doesn't use it are the Sentras :p

rythex
Also, the 350Z is completely different with the traction control turned off. (pull the fuse)

The VDC in most enthusiant and higher models is notorious for not being 100% off when it's turned off via the button and kicking in under hard driving conditions.. then it applies brakes and limits throttle response..

ehos
Can I ask how much you paid?

I was thinking G35 again, but who knows right? Good to keep an open mind.

 for the record I wasn't trashing your american designed sports car (so i've heard)...and the 350Z being a more sexy car than the Z32 is you OPINION...but the Z33 is still a very sexy car...just not as sexy as the Z32...IMO. lol
