What is the difference between a CX, DX and a VX? For like a Civic HB EG.
Thanks for your help. |

VX has the VTEC-E engine which gives the best fuel economy out of all the trims, but I think the least hp as well. VX also has the least sound deadning material which makes it the lightest model and noisiest.
CX is a base model with no ps or a/c but has a faster engine than the VX.
It weighs pretty close to the VX.
DX comes with a bit more options like A/C and ps(but no sunroof) but the same engine as the CX. Is also heaviest out of the 3. This is the best engine swap/road race car IMO.
Of course the SI is the fully loaded version with 127 hp engine, also the heaviest EG. |

| Is the SI a hatchback or a Coupe? I like the DX best myself too. Do you have pics for what the different models look like or where I could find some? |

The Si came in both hatch and coupe, not sure if the coupe started in 92 or 93 tho....anyone?
Go to edmunds.com for an idea. VX had 13 inch alloys, CX had 13 inch steelies, and the DX and SI had hubcaps.
They all look the same, but I think the VX didn't come with those black door guard strips..... |

cx didn't get those door strips either. I believe they were on option on the cx and vx.
and imo the VX was the best suited for a swap. Already wired for vtec AND supposedly the lightest of the bunch, with the cx nipping at it's heals.
the dx was a little bulkier, and the si even more so. |

| Well depending if your gonna be dragging or circuit racing with the car, I'd go with the DX b/c of the power steering, quicker steering ratio..... |
