| whats the difference between a muffler and an exhaust? |

| A muffler is the end portion.. the most visible part of the exhaust system.. a mufflers consists of a round cannister to muffle sound.. and two tips that the exhaust comes out of. An exhaust system.. can be defined as everything from the block.. to the muffler. |
