I heard camber kits are a must for any car that has been lowered... On ebay rear camber kits aren't that bad a price at about $32 with shipping...But then the fronts were like $130!
I don't know what to do and if i really need them...This mite sound stupid but if i only get the back camber kit will it help?
Plz let me know what u think.. |

Actually, the front one would be much more important. some suspension systems claim they can drop your car 2" without a need for camber kits, some others will require a camber kit if you don't want to go through tires every months, lose traction, etc.
Since your car is FWD, it's probably better to have a good alignement in the front more than in the back, but you'll still go through your back tires quickly.

| Rule of thumb that I use...anything within 1.5 inch drop should be fine. For a Civic, I'd never go more than 1.5 anyways unless my car was race prep!... |

| Almost |
| in Edmonton 2" is about the max drop you can do without destroying your car on our roads... if your not dropped more than 1" or 1 1/2 you shouldn't really need a camber kit unless your noticing a lot of tire wear. |

I wouldn't say you don't need to...jsut that, at that range the camber is not rediculously off that you will have excessive tire wear by a whole lot.

Coil overs or springs will not make in difference in those terms. But when ever lowering a car, you will change the camber no matter what. If the camber changes, then your toe will also change. They are all linked and this is why people recommend a wheel alignment after changing suspensions that will change your height. Make sense? |
