Anyone know the whp for auto and standard preludes?
Interested in specs for the h23 and h22.
I've read somewhere that the auto losses about 30 hp? But this could be different from tranny to tranny.
Thanks

the difference is about 5 hp
on the srv's hp is rated at 195 for standard and 190 on the auto version. |

he probably means drivetrain loss, and there never was a auto srv :p
anyways it is noticeable. when i did my tranny swap the car definately felt faster.
some people say about %15-%20 difference between them. |

So about a 20-25 hp loss due to the drive train.
I know that the H22 stock gives out 170 hp to the wheel, so an auto would do about 150 hp to the wheel.
I'm trying to make my auto 92 sr 4ws to be as fast as the standard.
Since I'm pulling the head for the headgasket and t-belt this summer
P & P for the head, intake man.= +15
Pulley= +5
exhaust and K&N filter= +5
That should put me close to a standard.
I'm getting a standard 4th gen once I sell my accord. lol |

2001 Honda Prelude SE, H22A, Automatic Transmission:
138whp
For the same car in a manual transmission, I would estimate it to be around 165-168whp... |

Yup, stock for the h22 is around 170, so we have 30hp less than the stick.........
I'm going to try for 160 whp for my auto, we'll see if it is comparable to the stick on the track this summer. |
