Has anyone ever got anything from tigerdirect? Hows there shipping time and service? I've never bought anything from there and need some printers rushed by the 20th. So wanted some feedback on how fast they ship. Tried their 800 number didn't get through.

i bought a dvd burner from them. Came via ups but there were no brokerage charges. Took about 5 business days, maybe a bit less.

I have heard some nightmare stories about dealing with them and have stayed away

I have as well.

However, the one dealing I had with them went smoothly. But from what I hear, it's really hard to return things, etc...

That really sucks. I am purchasing big items now I'm not sure. I will try their 1-800 again and double check. Too bad cause they honestrly have the best price on the color laser printers. I'm just worried on delivery time frame.

I hope there were no brokerage fees, they are located in Ontario. ;)

Did you try Memory Express or possibly Dangeo (in Calgary)

Here's a good list of CPU stores in Edmonton too.

I've purchased a few items from them. The delivery charges were decent and usually within 10 days. I think the horror stories you may have heard were concerning the 'rebates' you get to save you money on items. You have to apply for the rebates and it's an incredible pain in the ass. You go through about 7 pages of filling out info on the internet, then you sit and wait for 4-6 months with the hopes that you actually receive your rebate. I have read on a few PC sites that a large % of people don't receive the cash, although I did receive mine after 5 months the one time I applied.
