Toyota - TRD
Mazda - Mazdaspeed
Nissan - Stillen
VW - ?
Ford - ?

CYA
what kind of criteria is this list based on?
cya

KingKiong
Ford-Saleen
Chevrolette- Lingenfelter (something like that)
VW- I think they use the same group that tunes Audis (since VW owns them)

KingKiong
Oh BTW,
Benz- AMG Studios
BMW- M Tuners

CYA
ford - saleen and chevy - lingenfelter
hmmm... like i said... what's the criteria. cause in my opinion saleen sucks. too much money for mediocre products. same with lingenfelter... too much money.
cya

Slanted Eyes
I meant if you were a Manufacturer (Toyota, Honda) and had to choose one aftermarket tuner to represent your car in a tuner shootout, who would it be?
I think Car and Driver just did one recently.

Alpha Gangsta
Umm isn't it Nismo for Nissan?
stillen makes parts for cars besides Nissans also

If I was choosing a company to represent my product at a tuner show it would be in house. Which is what auto companies have been doing. Mugen and TRD are all subsidaries or their respective companies. For Ford I'm assuming it would be FRPP since they do the FR200/500 and all that aftermarket concept jazz. Chevy would be SLP engineering?? I'm not familiar with chevy, but SLP does the SS and Firehawk stuff.

Pssst, The best Nissan tuner out there is Jim Wolf Technology... Stillen basically copies their cams and ECU...
Porche-Eddie Bello or Ruf?...
I haven't seen Nismo participate in ANY drag events or make themselves even ATTEMPT anything, a little dissapointing when in Japan you see a twin turbo V8 powered drag Supra...
I'd like to see a twin turbo V8 Skyline or 300ZX...

KingKiong
BTW, another ford tuner might also be Ford's own SVT

Like I said, I'm not familiar with chevy. But since the F body is being cancelled, I suppose it really doesn't matter. Anyhow chevy has been "reduced" to buying engines from Honda, so I don't think they're in a position to devote much resources to the anything dealing with the aftermarket..

yeah, since 2002 is the last for the F-body (at least for a little while) i guess it doesn't matter much.
as for chevy, the F-body is not their only sports car. considering the size of GM i don't think chevy is ready to crumble just yet. besides, GM has been buying parts and selling parts to other manufacturers for years. Rolls Royce uses GM transmissions. what does that have to do with the aftermarket?

My friend works for the SVT department of Ford... Must be nice...
