I don't know if any of you have been watching the CBC Hockeyville contest that's been on TV lately. Hundreds of communities across Canada put together videos showcasing why their small town should be considered Canada's Hockeyville.
Well, Smithers, my hometown, and where I'm living for the summer is now into the top 5 in the country. I, and the town of Smithers, would GREATLY appreciate it if you could spend just a few minutes voting to have Smithers proclaimed Hockeyville. If we win, we will get some money towards fixing up and modernizing our arena, which was built from an old '40's airplane hanger (but has produced 9 current or past NHL players!) In addition to this, Smithers would host an exhibition game between two NHL teams at the beginning of next season (most likely Edmonton and Vancouver)
This would mean SO much to our small town of 5000 if we won. Your vote would be greatly appreciated.

| I watched about 4 minutes of this the other night and fell into a coma. Who the fuck can sit there for hours and watch these people beg for an arena and talk about why they are the greatest hockey town? You very well may be, but I couldn't give two shits.:rolleyes: |
